Good evening everyone!! I hope that everything is going good for all of you. I wanted to share something with all of you. My 17 yr. old daughter and my 14 yr. old both write songs. Well, Last night, my 17 yr. old Amanda wrote a song and she sang it to me today. I wanted to share it with all of you. I was shown today that our kids understand more then we think. Here is the song and I hope that you all like it as much as I do.

The average hero is not what it seems

Yea he may fight off evil or fight at bad scenes

But my type of hero fights it every day

She fights off her evil, to fight off the pain

Even though everyday seems so hard

She never gives up, shes always on guard

And every step she takes it hurts even more

But she continues to fight, for the love in her soul

{{Chorus}}

Never give up, Never give in

It may seem so hard just to win

But every day she proves the lies

If she can move on, so can I

Through the stormy weather or the seven seas

When shes begging for life, on her knees

This is the burden she can't ever share

Fear of the pain, that she must bare

But she continues every day to fight for everyone

So she can dance or sing in the sun

Every day seems like the last

She knows she'll neer move on, Put the pain in the past

{{Chorus}}

Never give up, Never give in

It may seem so hard just to win

But every day she proves the lies

If she can move on, So can I

She will keep up the fight

She will make them see

There is more to this

Then there may come to be

{{Chorus}}

for her stepmom- Rita

I hope that you all enjoyed this song as much as I do everytime I hear it.

{{Soft & Gentle Hugs}} to all of you.

Rita

Thank you all for the comments. It makes my daughter happy to know that it is not just her father and I who think that she wrote a great song not only for me but also for everyone who is fighting this awful disease.

I hope that all of you have a Superb 4th of July and stay as pain free as possible.

{{Soft & Gentle Hugs}} to all of you!!!

Rita

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! This disease is hard enough for adults to understand it let alone teenagers. I know that my sons are very aware of how I feel even though they might not say it. My oldest is very protective of me when we are out in public. He stays between me and other people so that they don't bump into me and I don't bump into them. My youngest always helps me up the stairs to the house. Aren't kids the greatest. And I agree with sleepwalking. I would LOVE to hear the song!!!
