My 2 week progress report: I started these meds two weeks ago today. Was at my lowest point. Pain was incredibly bad, especially in the upper part of my body.

Well, by the second day on these meds I had virtually no pain, and as long as I take them on schedule I have very good days. One of them, I guess it's the Cymbalta, has completely wiped out my appetite. I've lost a couple of pounds. Had to buy some Ensure yesterday just to get some nutrients in me. Spent a week very depressed because that's one side effect of the Cymbalta. But I feel better now. Get tired on it. But it really helps me sleep at night. My muscles feel so relaxed.

I hope it does the same for others on it. If you haven't tried it maybe you should ask your doctor.

I hope it continues to be this effective. Cost I'm sure is very high. I am still on samples and haven't filled a script yet.

I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Gina

Hi msbailey ,

I m glad to hear that your pain has become bearable with the Lyrica and Cymbalta BUT ... is the depression and tiredness worth the total pain free .

What dosage of Lyrica are you taking ? I am on my second refill of Lyrica75 and it helps the pain but makes me sleepy. I m afraid the Neuro will want to increase this dosage (wanted to last appt) but I can t walk around like a zombie all day and work too.

I am glad to hear that these two meds are working for you... I tried both and unfortunately they didn't work.. The Lyrica did nothing for me and with the Cymbalta I had way too many side effects so the doctor took me off. I am glad you have found something that works for you!!!!!

Oh yes, I can definitely deal with the side effects. They're not that bad. Oh, except the constipation...forgot to mention that.

I am so sorry to hear that it hasn't worked for others. I know how terrible it is to live with this condition. I've had it since I was very young, and nobody deserves to live in constant pain.

I am so glad that you are finding relief from the two meds. I did not seem to get relief from Cymbalta, but maybe did not stay on it long enough. That is such a blessing that the pain is kept at bay with the meds.

Hope you are having a blessed Monday.

Take care,

sal

The combination of Lyrica and Cymbalta has done wonders for me as well.
