I wanted to know if anyone else started getting really bad sinus pain and pressure since you were diagnosed with fibro? I have always had allergies, but ever since I started having my fibro symptoms, I have really bad sinus pain and pressure that comes and goes. It hurts to press on the sinuses on my face and all the pressure gives me really bad pain in my temples. Are these sinus headaches or migraines? Sometimes when i get the pain and pressure I feel nauseous and lightheaded. I have to say that this is one of the hardest parts of fibro for me (these bad headaches). Any suggestions from anyone?

I know that mine are much worse now than when I was younger. I'm not sure if it's because I'm peri-menopausal or having more allergies than usual. I also get nauseous and lightheaded. Today was bad for me because the pollens are up again. I tried my son's Zyrtec. It worked right away. I usually take benedryl right before bed..cause it makes me sleepy. Not the Zyrtec. No more sinus headache for me today. What do you use? I'm also going to get some allergy testing done. Haven't done that in years...it's about time for that again.

I read several books on FM that say chronic sinus infections are some of the things we all suffer from.

I sure do have a problem with them. Chronic bad colds as well.

When I've had sinus infections and the pain that goes along with them, I have been extremely nauseated and had all the symptoms you all described. The headache is more painful than a migraine/cluster I think.

I take Nasonex when I have the sinus pain and pressure. The last time I felt this way, I went on antibiotics and felt better for a month. Then they came back and now they are off and on again. I started getting these sinus problems probably six months before my first fibro flare happened to me. I hate when my sinuses are screwed up because I constantly feel off balance. Today I felt as though the floor was moving from under me when I was standing still. Weird feeling huh?

I think a sinus infection started all of my trouble. I had one for over 3 months.

sleepwalking, I have read the same thing about sinus infections being a big problem with people who have fibro

I do think that sinus and allergy pain is typical. Just remember, if you have something DIFFERENT then what is normal FOR YOU, to get it checked out by a doctor. It could be an infection that needs to be treated.

(I am not a doctor and do not play one on tv, in real life, or in my dreams...I don't like the sight of blood.)
