MDJunction to me

ITeach91"MD Junction has been a lifeline to me. The support and information I receive from group members is so important for me to maintain a good quality of life. I struggled with a diagnosis of adrenal insufficiency and did not know where to turn, but then I found MD and it has been one of the most important tools to help me to enjoy my life and stay as healthy as possible. We really are stronger together than we could ever be alone." (ITeach91)

Hello folks! I'm new to the group, hopefully I'll be able to keep up and check in now and again - of course between work and well the Fibro, sometimes I don't make it to every website I want to! I have really been reading alot of good information and stories on here however, and am encouraged to find there are people I can talk to, relate to, and who will actually understand me!!!! I am 29 and been dealing with my Fibro (and other issues) since 2000. Earlier this year my husband was diagnosed with Crohn's disease (a GI tract disorder) which also causes him chronic pain. We are kinda full of issues, but find strength in one another! I hope to make friends here, share, and learn more from all of you! Hope everyone is ready for the holidays - I started doing things early so I wouldn't overwhelm myself!!

Gentle Hugs,

Melissa

Hi Melissa and welcome to our family, it's a pleasure to meet you. You will love it here, everyone is great, caring and compassionate. I'm glad you have taken the time to do some reading, I'm sure it helped alot. Having people to talk to that actually do understand IS really important, so I'm very happy that you found us. I look forward to getting to know you and fully understand a busy schedule but we'll be here whenever you have the time.

I started my Christmas shopping early too, I usually try to be done before Thanksgiving, it didn't work out quite that way but I did okay Smile

Just some baking left to do....I love this holiday!

Has anyone tried obtaining a disabled parking placard? My regular doctor denied me the last time I asked, said I don't meet the qualifications, it'd be illegal to approve me... my chiropractor hedged at it 3 yrs ago, but I was thinking of approaching her again on the subject... any suggestions?

I have one. I have a permanant one. Fibromyalgia is listed under arthritic conditions. The laws vary state to state but they have some form of can't walk so far or due to rheumatic/arthritic condition. Now if your dr won't approve you because they feel you aren't disabled that's a whole nother issue. BUT if you are saying they said it's illegal due to FM then that's crap.
