[b]I am eighteen years old and i have been having chronic headaches every day for the past month and half. I just don't understand why i have been getting them. My mom said it might of been because i am dehydrated, beacuse i have had problems in the past with it, but i drink water constantly everyday since then. They just started out of no where and i am just asking if anyone could maybe help me. Thanks

I have a headache everyday since I was about 16 years old. They went away when I was pregnant then they came back after I had kids. They were as bad as migranes. I take topamaz and verapmil everyday that does help with most of the pain, but I still get the some headaches. I got to a headache clinic for help.

well Because of head and neck pain, of course I had a MRI to rule out any other cause. For one I had herniated disc in my neck I never new or would have ever thought I had. Also I know this sounds weird but my stomach was related to my headaches. Now when I get a really bad headache its followed by a relapse. So Make sure its looked into further then just blamed on FMS.

I get tremendous headaches that are usually caused from my neck problems. I have cervical spondylosis. Some days I can barely move my head at all, it feels like I have a bowling ball up there.

Hope you can get some relief from them. There are some pretty good medications out there that can help prevent them.

I have headaches everyday for years.Actualy I can't remember when I haven't had a headache. Been through all the tests and they tell me it's tension. On days when they are worse I take Advil on other days I just try to ignore them.

i don't know if the headaches are from the fibro are one of the side effects. anxiety,depression,etc......i guess we all have them for different reasons. one of the things i got with this wonderfully lovely disease is chronic sinus infections. this causes severe headaches nearly everyday. the other thing i get the pleasure of having is stress headaches. you know the migrain throw your guts up and die kind. the acid reflux and gerd also can cause headaches. sometimes they are so bad i have to take vicoden for them other times advil will do. what i can'y figure out is why nothing helps when i lay down to go to sleep. every night for the last three months no matter what i do i lye down and boom it is like my head is going to explode. i have tried drugs, servical pillows and everything else i could think of, nothing seems to work.

thanks for letting me whine............

my headaches comes from tension, chronic sinus, and stomach. And you would think that laying down at night to sleep would help relax but it doesn't. I actually at times have laid down and woke up with a severe headache or went I lay down it felt worse. I had to get up the other night and go sit in a chair because of it which eventually help better. I remember a while back reading about walking during a headache can help, I don't know but I do now that laying down doesn't. I guess you have to figure out when you get a headache, which is it that is causing it (stomach, tension, sinus) and then go from there to try and help it. Hope you have better luck.

I have what I call my "everyday" headache it is just there at the top of my forehead no matter what I do. Then I get this booming, nausea, someone please put me in a coma headache that no meds seem to help. Oh yeah and there's also the ones that cause absence seizures. I just started on Topamax and we'll see how that works. I am sorry you have to suffer like this while you're so young, hopefully you get some relief soon.
May life always bring you laughter.

I too have had headaches since I can remember. I was first diagnosed with tension headaches with occasional migraines...I was put on midrid for onset of a headache and darvocet. Also Flexeril. I kept getting headaches for years to where i was diagnosed with migraines and then eventually fibromyalgia. I will tell you that low serotonin levels in the brain can cause headaches. It is a hormone..i call it the happy hormone..that is produced in the brain. Is often associated with depression. Though you dont have to be depressed to have low levels of serotonin...but my doctor put me on amitriptylline for my fibro and since have not had a headache. So maybe talk to you doctor about putting you on a mild dose of an antidepressant just to help increase your serotonin levels and see if that helps. I know headaches suck and if it helps i would try anything. Good luck to you.
