I have a lot of trouble with memory loss. I get it so bad that I have been known to forget where I was going on my way to the bathroom. I have been putting grocerys away and put my keys in the freezer. I have forgot my own name. I call the kids by the dogs names.

I have dry eraser boards with lists on them so that I can just wipe them off as I get things done.

I have started to play games that make me think fast. I also got a book so I can write stuff in it, anything from how my day was to made up things about how I wish my day was.

Reading is difficult for me a lot of time. I have had to read the same thing over and over again just so that I understand it.

Sometimes what people are saying to me is not what I am hearing. Then when I go to talk sometimes, what I want to say wont come out, I stumble over my words and then get flustered and start to studder.

Been there done that dragonfly. I've been calling my cat Mindy lately.

Her name is tootsie.

20 years ago my dog Mindy died of old age. I have no idea why I'm doing this.

Also play games that make me think. I do believe that it does help with the

memory. I used to take either Vitamin b-6 or b-12 which helped my memory

a lot..

HI.... I think we all can agree to doing some of these things..... I just hope no one calls their mate by another name...that could be stickhy....lol...

I have done some crazy things like I put my cell phone in the freezer...... I did not get a call for days I thought...... could not find it either ..... looked and used another phone to call it... you know a freezer is really pretty sound proof.....

I think that this is all normal....... Name transference is normal if I remember right, especially under times of great stress....... and let see, we are all sick and in pain, fuel prices are making us decide if you buy fuel, food, meds, pay rent, or pay the light bill....

All great stressors......(if I spelled that right) Beside for the most part we are all on some very strange med cocktails....... Which that in its self will make us talk funny, and slow down the old brain box...........

YEs there are many things we can do....more meds.... less meds..... become a monk and live a stress free life.... or........ we can do what we can to exercise our brains....

Read, do puzzels.... use some of the game boy type things to stimulate your brain.... there are a list of things you can do to help your brain work better........

To help slow down the aging process of the brain........

I wish you all the best of .........aaaa................aaaaa.......................... .................aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa......oh yeah........LUCK......lol

Your friend...

Craig

Memory loss! It probably frustrates me more than anything!I can't help my kids with homework anymore, can't remember what I ate for breakfasst, lol.Oh, yeah, and I love it when I am trying to get a point across in a conversation and forget what the point was and have to ask the other person what I was talking about! Sometimes it's down right funny. others, it's really annoying. I love doing crossword puzzles. Not that I ever finish any! lol Hey, what can you do? Just have a good sense of humor like Craig!

Memory loss such a wonderful thing I have standards that reoccur such as leaving the hot tap running in the kitchen sink with the plug in,it's useful you get to wash the floor, the loss of the vegetable peeler this was in the fridge for 3 weeks, forgetting to put the heat pad back on my ironing station and melting the plastic caseing very expensive,I forget my childrens names or mix them up the same with the dog and cat.One day someone will find out what this disease is and hopefully find a cure but until then I will use it to my advantage,it is amazing how easy it is to convince someone that you told them somthing or that you told them that you wanted somthing doing some members of my family are so easily scammed.malaluka

Count me in! I turned on one of the burners on my stove because I was going to fix a hot ham and cheese. I took the bread out of the cabinet, but left the room to do something else, a show I liked on tv caught my eye. Finally the smoke alarm went off.

I went to the store to get some ice cream, we were having our kids and grandkid over, and i wanted to make sundays. I brought home syrup, marachino cherries, nuts, hot fudge, sprinkles BUT NO ICE CREAM!

My memory has gotten really bad over the last few months.

My brother in law always told me "Beth, what I don't remember, I just forget." Seems to be my motto now.
Be wise and dignified like the swan: he maintains his composure, staying unruffled on the surface, while always paddling like crazy underneath.

I am definitely a member of this club. I call my children by the dogs name and the dog by the kids name. I have a new motto "If I don't remember it, it didn't happen." Surprising how much doesn't happen anymore.
May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.

Do you go by another name there? http://www.myspace.com/moonbeam_opal

That's my web site. Maybe you can add me to yours.
