MDJunction to me

mabri"When I was diagnosed about 18 months ago with fibromyalgia, I didn't know where to turn. I got on my computer and looked for a support group where I could talk to other people with the same disease and get some help...Information, suggestions, mostly just what I can do now that I have this.....disorder/disease/syndrome...I didn't even know what to call it. I found MDJ, and yes, there was a support group for fibro. I started a post, and figured I would never get an answer. However, very quickly I was welcomed in, and became really involved in the group. I received help, support, friendship and the feeling of being truly cared about by these strangers who had become like family to me. Now, I have been here for about a year and a half...I have become a group leader, and love every minute of it. It is so wonderful to be able to help others. I still receive help and answers from the members in this group. The fibromyalgia is where I go to help, support, listen, care and even laugh. I don't know what I would do without this group." Hi everyoneCool

I know I am a little goofy, talk a lot and get off subject, so I decided to move the last part of my last post about spelling here.

I was wondering who has smart phones, preferably the new ones. I keep going back and forth about getting one, and I am trying to justify for the money that it costs every day.

I would like to know what you think about the pros and cons of smart phones and what the average age is of people that use them. I know quite a few people older than me that use them.

So........can't wait to hear the pros and cons, and what you think a female, age 59 would like it.

I would like to try it for two years and if I don't like it, I will go back to the average phone. There are so many apps you can get for the smart phone that I love. I love the ones you can talk to and they talk back. Jim's cousin has that and I absolutely love it. So...what do you think. PLEASE ANSWER, I VALUE ALL OF YOUR OPINIONS and please tell me the truth.

Love and appreciation!

I've used a smart phone for the last 4 years. I love mine I just upgraded yesterday to the HTC It takes great pic & have a lot of apps. If you enjoy using a computer you will enjoy a smart phone..but it will take a little time to learn all the bells a whistles. Good Luck!
This to shall pass!

Thanks Bren12!!

Your post helped me a lot. Can I ask you what service you have, verizon, AT&T, Sprint, I need to make a decision about companies too. We live in Michigan and I know it works here because my son and dil have one, and they switched from Sprint to AT&T because his sprint did not work at his in laws cabin up north Michigan and this AT&T does. He has a friend in Georgia, so I know it works near Atlanta, but we also have a place in Fort Myers, Florida, and I need to know if it will work there. My son told me that AT&T is everywhere. My son doesn't think I will use it, but his wife thinks I will, sooooo.....I am at a standstill. We are soon going to Branson. MO and I need a new GPS, the phone has one, but my son always uses his Garmin. Have you used the Garmin type thing on your telephone? I really, really appreciate your help and opinion.

Love and appreciation hugs coming your way~

Chrissy

I was on ATT for years but just changed over to Verizon because it has better coverage for my use. I use the navagaitor app for directon all the time, both ATT & Verizon have them on the smart phones

Thanks bren12, I really appreciate your help in this matter. Now I feel a little more educated walking into the store. Thanks again so much for your help.

Anybody care to put their 2 cents in?

Hugs~
