neshama48"Having Crohn's Disease for over 26 years, in the first few years, it lonely and isolating.
Though now my disease is in a near perfect remission, my friends and family are sympathetic to me, but I can not talk to them about this disease. Good Morning Everyone!

Not sure what is on the agenda today. Just going to get some projects done in the house we have been wanting done. I can't waite for my new Laptop to come in. This one is giving me fits, it's my birthday present and it's Purple!!! My favorite color.

Went to a home game for our adopted nephew and they won 30-28, close game and he did great, the whole team did. Suppose to be getting rain here and I can feel it coming. Was going to tell everyone about this stuff my lab told me about. It's called Mio and it's a water enhancer. Just wanted to mention it, I quit drinking soda altogether and have been drinking this instead, no sugar, no calories. Just thought I would pass it along. Found it at walmart. Yummy. Hope everyone has a great day. Hugs, Ann Smile

Good morning Ann. You always sound so chipper! Nice to have you get us going in the morning. You and Princess are always up long before I am on the East coast. Make me look like a slacker.

Congrats on the new laptop. Sounds pretty. When I was young I remember my Mother taking me to Sears to buy back to school clothes. They had this line called Purple Frog. I got all this purple stuff, even a belt! That was a big thing back then. Everything I think of Purple it reminds me of that! It was a special treat. I was one happy little girl. LOL

Thanks for letting us know about MIO. I have seen it in the store but had not tried it. Think I will pick some up. I still have my morning diet coke but I do drink lots of water.

Better go put on my painting clothes and get started. I hope that everyone has a wonderful day.

Hugs!

Hi Ann~ I am so excited for you about your computer. One of my favorite colors is purple. That one my first favorite color, then I added pink, royal blue, and when I develped heart disease, I added red. So, I guess I have multiple favorite colors : )

Wanted to ask you about the Mio. Is it like carbonated or soda water? I hope not, because I don't like those and I am looking for something else to drink. I live on Crystal Light Lemonade, I am addicted, I admit. I do drink some water, but is has to be ice cold and filtered. Picky, Picky me tee hee!

Pearl~ I hope you have an enjoyable day painted. I wish I had the stamina to get into it right now, it is so calming and distracting for me, but after being sick for so long, I am really weak. I was going to go out today, or try to go out, but think I have another day to go before I can get panties on, but I have an GYN appointment tomorrow, haven't had that done in about 3 or 4 years. Hopefully I will have enough energy to go get my face waxed and spend a little time at Kohl's. I have a 30% off coupon for any items in the store, even clearance. I gained some weight and the doc just told me that insulin makes you gain weight. Nice to tell me that when I started insulin 4-5 years ago and have been fighting weight like crazy. Therefore I may need some capris in a larger size and a few tops and the doc told me because this horrible yeast infection around the pantyline, to find more of a boy like panty to wear, to held alleviate the problem there. She said it is caused by sweat and I sweat there all the time, and under the breasts. So hopefully I will be good to go and I pray that, that stuff never comes back. I have been so miserable. All that, specialists and all and my PCP (Internist) is the one that found the right meds to chase it away quick quickly! I love her so much, I wish she could be my everything doctor. She doesn't like to step on the specialist's toes though. I guess she got a mouthful from one recently told me she won't do that again. She is the most intelligent doc I know!

Hi Princess~ Hope you are having a good day today. I was glad to see that you opened up a little bit more on one of the posts (fog, can't remember which one) but you really need to do that hon. It's hard for us to help you except to say hope for a better da tomorrow if you don't open up. You are so kind in asking people about meds they take, how they work, and ask about their pain. We (I) just hope you will open up more so we can single in on each problem you have so we can post some advice, or something that has helped us. It may not even have anything to do with meds, we have lots of solutions and different things to share with you that may help. Anyway, it was good to see you do that, and I hope you are having a great day. I wanted to go out, but the pain wouldn't allow me that today, and I have to go to the doc tomorrow, so I have no choice and before that, I will have my face waxed and hopefully get into Kohl's and maybe into Fashion Bug. The stores and doc are within a half mile to mile to me, so it should be a fairly decent day for me. Weather is supposed to be changing, but for the better, low 70's, heavenly weather. I hope it follows us up to Traverse City a week from today! Hoping to see some beautiful color while we are up there, and a little wine tasting as well. I hope it all goes well, my sister understands my disabilities, but my BIL is almost 80 and has never been sick, except he can't hear a thing, and he runs, not walk. He is in excellent shape for his age. Oh, he had early cancer in the thyroid that they caught, but he is very energetic!!

Hope you all all having an enjoyable day, whether is it ourside or inside, we can all find joy in something, watching the birds, squirrels, (we feed them) and I enjoy watching them eat them on the deck or watch them run to bury the peanuts. Puzzles, reading, watching movies, sports, canning, baking, grandchildren, there is something that can bring joy to us, if we look hard enough and truly want to find enjoyment and pleasure, there is something there is you really want it. I hope you all find your "something" that makes you happy and brings you pleasure. I had a hard time with that for quite some time, especially when family and no one understood, but I eventually found one or more things. God Bless you all.

Much love and very gentle hugs to all

Christine

Doing my late night checkin. Boy am I sore! Of course, I didn't get as much done as I had wanted. That's the story of my life. Did get the closet painted. The door itself is primed (in my kitchen) still need to paint, which I will do tomorrow. And after it dries we can stain the other side. After that is done we have to do the frame and side lights. Realistically , it will take the rest of the week with drying time, etc.

Tomorrow morning I have to be at the doctor at 9:30. I hate going. He's okay but I feel invisible to him. As long as he gives me my meds! We'll be doing another thyroid test and sugar test. Fingers crossed.

Christine, I also got a 30% off coupon from Kohls. Not much that I need except going to look at the Fiestaware dishes. Could use some more luncheon plates. Of course, I will see if there is anything for John Laurens.

I am exhausted so I better go see what meds I need refills for. Everyone have a wonderful night and morning. Chat later.

Hugs!

Hi all,

Just stopping by to say hope you are all having a good evening! Wintersnow, it sounds like you took on a big project. How fun! Hope you are not too sore. Ann,kudos on the new laptop. I love purple too!

Princess..tin man huh? Yes,I understand this all too well my friend.

I'm a bit sore and stiff today myself. I've been really busy lately and I think it just caught up with me. I've been exhausted today. So, I've just been lying around with my cat, sipping on iced tea, and playing scrabble online against robots. Chill day today. Tomorrow, will be my second week with the Red Cross. I really like it there.

Everyone, have a good night. ttys

Oh Pearl~

We are going to do some real damage at Kohl's with our coupons. You for John Laurens, and me for Lindsey and out new baby to come early April. I can't wait to find out the sex of the baby, but we have a little way to go before they can tell the sex. I hope it is a boy as much as I love my dear sweet baby girl, but my son is the only person to pass on the family name. If he doesn't have a son, our family name is dead. Of course we will take anything for sure, another new baby to love on. So exciding. I'm hoping they can come to Florida next year, but the baby many be too young for me to start shopping yet, not before we find out the sex anyway.

Gotta run, sleep meds taken and need to get to bed early for early appointment.

Sending much love and the strength for a good shopping trip,

Christine

Christine, I have something for you to check out for the new baby. I bought one for John Laurens and he sleeps all night without waking up. And it is portable.
