Tema....stop the fear. There is no possible way to know how you are going to react to something until you yourself try it. I'd be willing to bet that not one of us here takes the same meds and dosages as anyone else. Fibro is such a personalized disease. But please....stop your fear. Don't be worried about something that has not happened to you. Worrying does nothing but cause wrinkles. It is not productive. It could well be that Cymbalta and/or Savella could be your own personal miracle med. You won't know until you try. Now, for me, I had bad reactions to Lyrica, but I survived them and was quickly changed to Cymbalta. I get only a smidgeon of relief from the Cymbalta...hardly enough to even notice. I only tried about half of my titration pack of the Savella. In those first few days, I could not tell if there was any relief. But I could tell that, up until that point, I had no side effects whatsoever. We cannot fear Fibro or the meds that treat it. We must be proactive in our own pain control. We should eagerly try the next best thing to see if it will be the right one. So....no more fear of the un-tried, okay?  |
