I know that most of us have daily struggles just trying to accomplish the day to day activities that come along with running a household.

I thought it would be good to take a more positive approach to this. Instead of stressing over what you have not been able to do, why don't we focus on what we have gotten done...no matter how small it may seem to us at the time.

Tell me what you struggle with day to day. Then tell me what you accomplished today.

I struggle with just getting through the day at work. As for accomplishments.... well, ask me after I've had more coffee, dear heart! Smile

Well I managed to get to work. My knee hasn't given out, yet. I got through all of my email and made nice with everyone at work. I'm ready to go home and watch my show. And get some rest---only had about 3 hours last night [and not consecutive].

I'm still breathing and smiling and ready to deal with the day! Smile

I started back on aqua therapy this week after being gone from it for a month. They asked if I wanted to start off with no weights, and I refused. "Put me where I was when I left off", I said. Hindsight says this was probably not a good idea. Twice this week I went and had 4.5 pounds of weight on each leg in the water. Talk about afterburn!

I've been hurting pretty badly all week from only two sessions of therapy. Even so, the gardening bug has been biting me and I've been wanting to do stuff outside, so I've been trying.

I really want a garden this year. So, I've been trying to clear out my plot. There are a lot of weeds there. I wanted to start by raking the area of the old dead weeds, then go back with the hoe to clear off the rest. I've made two valiant attempts to do the raking this week, but it just ain't happening. It's just too hard on my already very painful back.

So today, instead of just giving up, I went to the area by my kitchen door, which used to be a rose garden years ago, but had been completely over-run by weeds and grass. I started at one end of my house, working towards the door and started digging the weeds out.

I was actually pleased that I at least made some headway with that. I got about halfway to my door on one side. I've had no strength to do anything else since, but at least I got that much done.

Starr, take it really easy. I have a small garden I want to start on. Actually, I just want to get it going again. I do it every year but the weeds get to me and we have brown recluse spiders that scare me quite a bit. I'm going to start in the worst part and work toward the easy part this time. It finally got up to 60 degrees yesterday so maybe with spring starting today, the weather will begin to warm up some more. I'm hoping my son will get the hot tub fixed for the summer so I can enjoy that. How are you feeling since your fall in the tub? I'm always scared of that happening since I have a very small bathroom and not much room to turn around in. Get better young lady.

I have two big planters. I plant one tomato in each pot. Then I surround it with marigolds....which are suppose to keeep the bugs away. Then I have another one that I plant a cucumber plant on the back side and let the vine wind around my porch railing. In the same pot I also plant a bell pepper and a banana pepper. I don't think I could handle a garden!

I've been doing really well lately. Mornings are so hard for me to get up and get moving.

I've made a batch of home made soap this week. But sadly that's about itSad Other than a little cleaning.

Okay, I'm feeling like I accomplished something in spite of feeling extra-extra horrible pain-wise this week! A customer called me with computer troubles. She is an absolute darling and calls me at home, even when it's not related to the internet service (I work for an internet provider). With the trouble she was having I figured out that she needed more memory, so I walked her through ordering some. It came fast, and then last night after work I stopped by her house and installed it for her. Installing memory is one of those things that looks a whole lot harder than it really is because you have to go inside the computer and all, so my ego got a bit of a boost at her going "Oh, how do you DO that?"

The hardest part is pushing the memory into the little slot. The edges are sharp and you have to really give it a push until it snaps, so I thoroughly confused her by asking her for a potholder. With that protecting my fingers, I was able to snap the memory module in place just fine, and best of all her computer runs great now!

Pat, it sounds like you need to take it easy too! But the hot tub sounds like great therapy. Wink

I hurt pretty badly for about three weeks after my fall. Then I still stayed home (instead of therapy) for another week, just to make sure I was okay. The only excess pain I've had since has been from my therapy, and being away from it for so long. It's going to take me a while to get back to where I was with it.

Dixie, that's great that you have such a nice container garden. I gave up after killing my potted tomatoes for two years in a row. Not sure what makes me think I'll be any better with a real garden. Dizzy

Don't say "sadly". To me, making a batch of homemade soap is quite an achievement! That sounds cool!

Sounds like most of us have it really rough in the mornings.
