wow! it's almost 5 in the afternoon here and i'm the first to start the thread??????? i rarely have the honor! Silly Tongue Silly Tongue Silly

hope everyone's staying cool. Cool here it's "101.5 °F Feels Like 117 °F"

yikes!!!! silly me has been in and out of a hot car to pick up a kitty trap from the vet and then some sardines and tuna for a lure. had my son put it out in our bushes where my kitty friend, taz, has been hanging out. that is when he's not on my porch crying for me to come out or for me to let him in.

he's been here everyday for several days and i really want to rescue him. he's already missing the tip of one ear and the other appears to have been chewed on. the other day he had a fresh cut across the back of his neck. Sad

he's such a lover! just wants to be rubbed and rub on me. he really needs to be in a home where he can be loved on!!!

wish me luck!

have a wonderful beautiful low pain kind of day!

hugs and love to everyone............

Good luck with the cat rescue Missy. There is really nothing more rewarding than making someone or something's life better! You're a doll for doing it. One of my dogs was abandoned outside my office in a rainstorm. He's the most loving, sweet, loyal dog I've ever owned. My other dog was going to be taken to the shelter. He's happy all the time. I think they know what they have and show it every day! Preparing for the really hot weather here too. It's supposed to be 103 for the next few days. I hope it's not any longer. Can't stand the AC. It makes me hurt.

Hey crazy cat lady! How'd it go so far? I have to try to get Toughie in a carrier too so I can get him neutered and his shots. Doubt he's ever been in one, and actually hoping he hasn't. If he has and didn't like where he wound up, he may not be helpful at going inside. Laughing

Hope someone shows up tomorrow. I feel like I'm doing something wrong here and making ther others avoid the site. Sad I surely hope that isn't the case!

I sometimes wonder if some come on thinking this is a group like the Fibro sg that deals with the medical side more, when this is more about dealing day by day with the challenges of Fibro, hence our group name.

I just know we have a great group of members who are here for each other when needed. That makes me very happy! Smile

Hi Missy~

It is very hot here as well. It is 100 degrees with the heat index of 108 degrees. We have air conditioning, but the ceiling in our great room is extremely high. We get a lot of sun upstairs, so didn't close those blinds, or my exotic orchids would die (can't believe they made it all the way home from Florida and still doing well), but every other window covering in this condo was closed to try to keep the heat out. I really wanted to close the upstarirs bedroom as well, but it gets tons of sun and we tried my exotic orchid down here and just took it back up there today because it does so poorly down here.

I was in bed all day today and did not come out to the great room until about 5:15 pm. I am starting with a migraine and just took some excedrin migraine, because it works the best for me, even better than anything, even narcotics. Here's hoping it kicks in real soon.

Missy, I hope you catch your kitty and that someone finds a special place in their heart to adopt the kitty. I would take it in a second, but Lisa is allergic to cat's and she used to tolerated our last cat, and took allergy meds before she came over, but I am afraid that the girls might be allergic like their momma. You are such a sweetie, a hero in the life of a cat, but a hero to lots of kids, and adults as well.

I hope everyone had a great day and will have a renewing restful sleep tonight.

Much Love and butterfly kisses~

Christine

Oh, all this kitty talk really makes me want one, and don't think I would make a friend with my daughter in law if we got another one. That is one animal we can have in Florida where we live. Oh, and we can have birds as well, but a lady on the other side of the street have two and those birds are constantly swawking!! The miss their mommy and daddy who are both very active. I don't dislike birds at all, we had them growing up and they were kind of fun, but after listening to those birds, I'd definitely take a cat if not for my dil. Maybe I could find a cat sitting service while I am at home in Michigan. : ) I'm going to consider doing that and talk to Jim about it.

Much love and hugs~

Christine

thanks susan! you spoke my mind exactly! there is nothing better than helping someone or something. i'll have to find that graphic that says it all.

and i think you're right that your dogs appreciate what they have now. all 4 of my kitties were rescued and are now living on easy street!

and i hate the ac too ~ i keep my at 80 and have ceiling fans in all the rooms. that way it's not freezing like it is some places. that just makes my muscles tighten up.

hey there sissy k ~ is toughie an inside cat? love the name!

and you are absolutely not doing anything wrong!!! silly girl!

this is a different kind of fibro group. more casual i think. talking about living our lives with fibro and all that goes with it plus we like to do the daily thread just to keep up with what all is going on in our lives. it's always been smaller but i like that it's more intimate. maybe it's my ocd but i have a hard time keeping up with all the posts in a busy group and feel frustrated trying!!!!Tongue

the different groups draw different people and that's what it's all about ~ finding groups you feel comfortable in.

so don't you worry ~ what will be will be and it is what it is and all those other sayings!!!!Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue

i love our little fibro family!!!!

was sitting on the porch petting taz thinking about what i said about the different kind of fibro groups we are and i just wanted to make sure that what i said wasn't misinterpreted.

the big fibro group is awesome and blessed with members who have a wealth of information about fibro and a wealth of information about the nitty gritty things that many have to deal with because of being afflicted with it.

i read the posts there for the above reasons.

hugs and love to everybody in the world that has fibro.................
