MDJunction to me

carmen33"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

Seems like it was just LAST Tuesday!Shocked Where did the week go?

The weekend was not a good one for me. Sick Pinch I have a bulging disk that slips occasionally and it picked Saturday while I was changin the sheets. That will do it if nothing else will. So I was using an ice pack and heating pad to keep the inflmmation and muscle spasming down. My muscle relaxant didn't do much, dang it.Tongue

I am much better today!! Smile Smile Hoping to get into town for some much needed shopping that I had planned for yesterday. Torrential rain at times yesterday so just as happy I did't get caught on the hwy. passes during a storm.

Hope you all have a wonderful day and hope to see our little family here telling us about their weekend and how they are faring today. Smile I am truly missing you all!

Warm fuzzies <3

time has a way of doing that doesn't it, kitty?!

so sorry about your back but glad your better and up and running! do you have any physical therapy you can to to help prevent that? i have a bulging disc also and i try and remember to do spine stretching exercises to keep it from going nutso.

yesterday, J and i shopped for the food pantry and dropped it off. also hit a goodwill store where we both found books and i found some cool things for a decorating project. just need some paint and a little creativity and voila! and pretty wall decor to make me smile! love to decorate and love to do it on the cheap!!!!!

so, my big thrill the last couple of weeks has been a stray cat that has adopted me! i so very very much want to rescue him but have many dilemmas. i can't bring him in right now although he cries and cries to be let in. don't want to chance him giving fleas or other things to my 4 kitties.

i have been feeding him and loving him up. he can't get enough of rubbing and loves when i baby-talk to him! he's very skittish of any movement ~ i'm sure because of all the things he's encountered out there ~ so i'm not sure if i can get him in a carrier to get him to a vet.

i feel so badly for him. he wants love so badly and needs to be in a loving home. just not sure how to accomplish that for him.

going to call around right now for some advice from the shelter and a vet's.

warm kitty cat hugs and love to all..................

I'm an Advocate

I can't believe it is Tuesday already either. Sunday I was exhausted after the funeral, andd the baptism. and the kids asked it wanted to babysit for the kids on Monday so we could see them before they left for a mini vacation. In between all the avtivities, we tried to be lazy on Sunday, but then found out Lisa had been in a car accident. No one was hurt, thank God. Lisa needed to pack and send out thank you cards, before they left for vacation, and Scott had a golf date with a friend that is here from London, England. He was one of the Godfather's. Scott was so torn, the priest said he could have two, and Lisa's Aunt was Godmother and she is a very young widow and was just here for Lisa's brother's wedding, so they had her on skype, kind of wild and crazy, but a very blessed event.

Back to the babysitting thing, of course we said sure we want to see them before they left, so we had the girls Monday, but it wasn't as sunshiny as it usually is. Anna cried a lot of the day, and I wasn't worth too much yesterday, so PaPa had most of the duties yesterday. I helped as much as I could, but I was already in extreme pain and that put me over the edge. The pain was not touchable with any of the pain meds I have here. It was a miserable night.

Saw a pain managemnt doc today and was very disappointed with the office visit. Ahe will only deal with my back, and wants me to see another ortho for my shoulders. It was not what I expected. Oh well, I might try the other one she recommended, or go to the ortho doc, I saw him years ago. Lots more to the story, but I will save that for another day.

Took a pain pill when I got home, and it has helped somewhat for now. I hope it does the trick for tonight. Keep me in your prayers tonight if you do pray.

Chip called today while I was in with the pain doctor and left a message. He said that he and River would not have computer, phone, or tv until July 4th or 5th. He said they are both doing well and hoped everyone here was doing well as well. I'm still not talking on the phone because of the sores, so painful sores in my mouth from my lupus . It is good to know that they are doing well.

Love to all of you with angel wing hugs~

Chrissy

Yes, thanks so much for the River update! I would have seen this earlier but haven't been online here. I just now got done trying to call her again with no answer or message prompt. Wish I had caught your comment, as it would have saved me a whole day's worrying. Tongue

I so hope your mouth pain takes a hike and right now! That has to be so awful ad painful to eat. Take care of you and get better. Hope your next pain doc or ortho can help you more.

Hugs and love by the bushel
