Why do people make hurtful comments about having a chronic illness?

Why do people say things like "you are taking medicine why are you not better"?

Why don't people think before they talk?

Why would someone that says they love you want to hurt you?

Why do people keep asking the same question and not listen to the answer?

Why don't people take the time to educate themselves on Fibromyalgia and other chronic conditions?

Why is it that an "Invisible" illness is so difficult to explain?

Why can't I just go back to my life before this happened?

I am just wondering why?

Dizzy

Why would someone get angry at me for becoming ill ?

I did not do this on purpose.

It is happening to ME.

Why do people that are supposed to love me make this all about them?

I do not know why I even would care about someone that would act this way.

I just am so hurt and disappointed in so many people.

Actions speak so much louder than words.

It is a saying that we have heard our whole life but it is so true.

I have been there for everyone my whole life.

I am so loyal and loving to the people that I care about.

Where is everyone when I need them?

I just am just in so much pain tonite. Physically and emotionally.

This sucks. Sad

Am hear for you too PrincessButterfly.

Sometimes it is a case of ignorance- lack of knowledge, other times it is fear- scared at what is happening plus scared as to how to respond, then there is also shallowness- lack of depth in emotion as well as thinking plus unwilling to change one's rigid cold outlook(ego too big/narcisstic).

Methinks this is 3 reasons- ignorance, fear and shallowness- why people react in ways that are hurtful to us fibromites.

It saddens me to hear that you are in much emotional pain along with physical pain, for sure!! Yet, hold on tightly- it will not always be this way for you- better days will be ahead for you including more understanding as well as deeper love, for sure.

Keeping you very much in my thoughts as well as prayers.

Am always here for you , too, so please lean on me anytime!!!

Gentlest hugs to you, much love Clarita

Princess, I echo the words of Clarita, unfortunately sometimes people just plain don't want to deal with it. Just know that you know what you are dealing with is a valid condition, it's not in your head and I remember a quote I heard one time. "I am sorry if my illness intrudes on your life" for some people in your life that don't get it I think this is quite prophetic.

Oh dear Princess, I am so sorry that you are in such emotional pain. I wish that I had the answers for you. Some people are just self centered. Hopefully things will get better for you FAST. Hey, you always have us.
