If you say you hae chronic pain well its in your head if you would just move around and exercise you will feel better. REALLY!

If that were the answer they would have to build new work out ares..nobody wants to be in constant pain.. if walking would fix it Id be walking miles..

the truth is after the drive way I cant seem to get back home..sure I'll due a mile bring the wheel barrel to load me up and bring me home. exspect me to lay in bed for a few days that mile is like a 20 mile marothon to the adverage person..the muscels cramp like you wouldnt believe..

why do we seem so forgetful..well thats easy, your brain can handle so much and it has to make room for more so it gets rid of info you really done need like your kids name who needs that they know who they are,

where is my drink well you dont need that you have more cups and a facet for water..

where did the darn keys go, well your brain knows you really dont need to drive..

its doing important work and has no time to remeber the mundane..its spending its time trying to figure out how to get out of pain..messages are being sent there from all over your body saying this hurts fix it thats wrong do a something. our brain is like a computer being attack by a virus it slows us down menatally and freezes ever once in awhile..we dont have to remeber did we feed the family they will remind us.. so our computer brain deletes the info..did we eat today who knows our brain trys to forget cause once we due it again will be over loaded with pain signals telling it your stomach is hurting why cause itself more pain just delete the info..shoot we're full on meds anyways.. then its the shut down we overload and we have to shut down to recharge, hence the sleep mode..

well lets discuss that now..how many meds we take and people wonder why we are slow and tierd and sleeping alot..or the complete opposit not at all.

okay I know for me most of the meds I take say can cause drowziness.. some even say can cause back pain(what)..so we take these meds to relieve some pain cause not all will be gone, then we take meds to combat the side effects like may upset your stomach diarehha or constipation..those with one pray for the other..but to the cabinet we go to take another med to help with that..

"bengay has become my new perfume"..

ah good grief an appointment to the eye doctor I keep seeing double..well nothing wrong there its the meds..

then the biggy we take meds for DEPRESSION

well hell if you spent all day in pain and cant figure out how to stop it your family is angry with you cause they cant see the pain you must be a hypercondriac, (hell we fear that ourself). we feel like we let our loved ones down and are harder on ourself more then anyone would be..but no reason for depression here..the doc tells you you depressed and depression causes physical symptoms that cause pain..so your now in a vicous circle your in pain so your depressed which is causing you more pain..so y take meds for that..be careful the side effect is low sex drive..oh great yet another problem..and believe me your spouce is starting to wonder why you dont want them any more as it is now we will kill your sex life all together..

Im sure theres a pill to help with that also but to us we take enough that is something not as important..so we figure deal with it if you felt like us you wouldnt want it either we love you but it is not that important to have sex..darn thosse pills..

have you heard you are so quit whats wrong..well let me tell you,Im sitting here thinking I love being out wellyears ago I did Im counting the hours to go home feeling guilty about it but I dont know if the pain is worth this well Im sure its not..and I'll have to take exstra meds just to get through..Im trying to remeber to smile so you dont feel bad and I dont ruin your day but the pain is sending tears to my eyes..

when we're invited to go somewhere and we say yes.its just to make you feel good at the time cause believe me before that day we will cancle for the most part, dont take it personally

lets talk about when the pain is so bad what do we due..

okay how much meds have I taken today and what can I get away with..we have done the hot bath heating pads put on all kinds of rubs..and believe me when your desperate you do stupid things like rub your whole body down in muscel rub(dont ever ever do this, its so bad)..

when your at the point of your cant deal with it any more your desperate you start doing stupid things it sounded hopefull at the time. you sit there and try not to take to much muscel relaxers or pain meds, but shoot they havent worked so if there not working you can take more right?

you also have pain patches at your disposel so just put on one more..hmm heat helps I'll use my heating pad to..

guess what you just over dosed..our mind trys so hard to help but dont always listen to it...

there was a story I heard one time

this man had sever pain that started in his back and ran down his leg..he could feel where it started could touch it..he went to doctor after doctor trying to find help and still got no answers..so out of desperation he stabbed himself in the spot so he would have to have something done..I remeber watching this story on the news and found myself agreeing with the guy..to us who suffer in chronic pain understand what desperation feels like..but what is more scary is we fully understand why the man did it..everyone else thinks he's crazy...

we try and smile through why make everyone around us miserable. what a fake smile we show..if you only knew what was behind it..

Wow Broken, You always get to the core of things, and that really does bring it home, what we go through, though in widely differing degrees. Yet, I'm sure we've all been there at one time or other, where we just get desperate for the pain to stop, for our memories to return and for our families to have a tiny clue what it's like.

I am praying for some kind of relief for you the soonest possible as I am sure others here are too. <3

Shoot for the moon...if you miss it, reach out and grab a star.

I agree with Karen you broke it down in the most real way. We may not all go through this to that extreme but we have all been at that point. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that you get through this with lessened pain levels. Hugs, Ann

You hit the nail on the head Broken. I know exactly what you are talking about.Sad

I know how the man feels stabbing himself to get some attention. NO HE IS NOT CRAZY. And neither are we.

Sometimes I would like to be able to give my pain to a doctor or loved one for just one day and see how they like it. Well, they wouldn't would they?

Dizzy

Just living a "normal" day causes us so much pain and suffering, if only they could understand.Angry
