MDJunction to me

jayna01"My name is Jayna and I wanted to take this opportunity to say how much MDJunction has meant to me. I always felt so alone before I joined in April of 2012. I felt like there wasn't anyone that really cared about me and what I was going through. I felt like there was no one that would truly listen to me in what I was feeling. Nobody was there for me. That is before I found MDJ!

I have found and met such good people on these forums. I never ever knew there were such compassionate people before MDJ. It's also nice to know that I can come here anytime and get support for what I am feeling. I feel like I have met some wonderful life long friends. It is also an outlet for me to try and help other people that are hurting. It gives me a good feeling inside and gives me self confidence in helping other people.

I hope MDJ will be as good for you as it has been for me! Many Blessings and Much love.

I used to have periodic flare ups with times of near normalcy in between. I was blessed with this for 13 years. However, since November, I have symptoms everyday, to varying degrees. I was just officially diagnosed a few months ago and am starting to try to understand this disease, now that it has a name.

I was wondering, does this ALWAYS progress? I see a lot of posts about people who once were considered "normal" but now fight daily pain and fatigue and have had to go on disability.

Am I progressing or just mentally "giving in" to a diagnosis now that I have one? Does everyone progress in severity or do some stay where they are at?

Thanks!

I think it depends on the individual. My got worse, then stayed the same for years. I've been taking pain meds for over 11 years, then had to change to a stronger pain medication since my body became immune to what I was taking. I've now had to up the strength several times along with the amount of pills. I think that pain meds can make it worse because I'll go thru horrible withdrawals if I don't take it everyday, AND I have to take more every month, unless I switch up pain meds once in a while. It's catch 22..do I stop the meds & deal with the pain or do I continue to take paro killers & be addicted? My advise, don't start taking skin killers regularly...

MissyKate,

I don't think there's a predictable pattern for fibro. There's so many things that can affect your level of pain. I have had periods when I've had numerous flares and then other periods when my meds seem to be working and I can function near to a normal person as long as I'm careful to take my meds. Sorry if this answer seems vague, it's a difficult condition to predict what will happen in the future.

MissyKate, This conditon varies greatly from individual to individual plus just because you are having a tough time now does not mean that your condition is progressing or that this will last for long so try not to panic even though it must feel scary- hold on tightly plus hold on to hope plus know that we are all here for you- myself included!! Have had my conditions moderate severe to severe constantly for 15 years, am in a very challenging spell right now yet am holding on tightly plus have hope that one day my conditions will improve or even disappear altogether yet am realistic at the same time if that makes sense.

Just try to take one day at a time, one step at a time.

Here for You so lean on this batgirl, okay.

Super soothing gentle hugs, love Clarita Smile
