MDJunction to me

Sylvia4648"I have suffered from depression most of my life, but had some long, non-depressed times. The last 16 years have been an on-going, constantly worsening nightmare for me medically, socially and with my family. 11/2008 to the present has been the worst time in my life, and new things just keep piling up. During that time I’ve gone from being mostly homebound to being totally homebound due to the errors of about 2 dozen doctors who overmedicated me so badly that I came home w/ 4 conditions I didn’t go in with. I spent months wanting to die, and finding MDJ may well have saved my life. It’s one of the worst feelings to know that nobody on earth needs you for anything; but now that I’ve been a group leader for awhile, there are people here who need me. Thanks MDJ." (Sylvia4648)

So since I have not drank anything my liver has been fine, no more pain. However, recently the pain has returned to the my liver area after I eat- and particularly when I eat at night. Any thoughts? A few months ago, my sonogram did confirm I have a Fatty Liver, but my doctors believe it was a alcohol induced.

HeyHey,

Even though you have stopped drinking , It takes a long time for the liver to heal, and you may always have episodes of problems. although the liver can heal it doesn't take much to cause symptoms. Eating Fatty foods , Raw shell fish. Having Gallbladder problems , Even a virus can increase Liver enzymes in healthy people , So some one with liver problems may have more of a chance of showing signs of problems.Fatty liver may never go away but Not drinking will help keep it from progressing to Cirrhosis. as the liver does heal and if it was caused by alcohol you may notice even more improvement. But it may take a very long time.

You may never end up with Liver failure But your liver will never be completely normal either.

When you have a new or returning symptom that you can't find a cause for you should call your Dr. It doesn't hurt and he may can help.
