HI all, Have any of you had low immune system with Et?I went to the doctor Saturday the 8th of Nov. I have a sinus and ear infection again. She told me my immune my system was really low.I've been getting sick off and on since July. SHe put me on Vitamin D 4000mg for a month then 2000 after that. Was just wondering if anyone else has been told they had this. My tremor are under controll but my muscle are sore and burn. Let me know if this is happening to anyone else.

I've never heard of low immune systems with ET.

I'm not suprised that you would have sore and burning muscles, though, especially where your tremor is most active. When I am tired or not feeling well, I have a lot of muscle fatigue.

My immune system is shot. Due to gastric bypass i no longer can absorb any vitamins or nutrients at all. Can not even take vit.D due to increase of kidney and bladder stones so i had to stop taking Vit.D. muscles do burn alot, bone pain increased,feels like someone is trying to shred my muscles with a fork.my hemoglobin is so low i have transfusions once a week with little to no increase. I sleep to the point that i fell asleep in the highway..too dangerous.headaches are nasty...one Sunday night i was lying in bed, my eyes and face had been swelling all day to the point that my eyes began to burn and swell shut. my fingers were swollen too. couldn't watch tv or read because things were blurry and getting worse. all of a sudden while lying on my left side my right arm began to tremble. Slowly at first then it began to increase into a hard thrusting motion. I yelled out for help, i couldn't stop it, my entire arm from where my neck and shoulder meet tightened with pain and to the tip of my fingers was shaking uncontrollably.My heart was pounding hard i thought it was a stroke i didn't know what a stroke felt like but i saw family have them. No other body part was moving. my son came to massage my arm and he couldn't hold it still, it kept trembling. It felt like a bad pinched nerve that wouldn't let up. The whole arm full of pain.My head was throbbing, blood pressure has been high for the last 4 to 6 months..150/100 to 170/116. I'm on now 4 bp meds.I suffer from systemic lupus, liver and kidney disorders, and alot of other things too. Right now I'm very scared..strokes run like water in my family.Was diagnosed with 'mycolonus' a few months ago but haven't had an episode in a while. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Please let me know...thank you Prior to this episode i was in bed from Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday I left the house for the 1st time on Tuesday morning for a doctors appt. and that took every bit of strength i could muster up in my body to do that.

HI Mowse, Im praying for every night. I hope i can take the vitamin D till it brings my immune system up. That will be Dec.8,2008.Im so sorry you're going through all this.My doc put me on Lyrica for my fibro; but it work works on my ET better. I've not shaken at all since i been on it.So maybe you can ask your doctor about it. I hope and pray that you get better that the lord will heal you from your many problems. We're all here for you.Even if you just need to vent we'll listen and offer our help. Your NEVER ALONE here Mowse. Send me a message or any of the others.Man your b/p is way to high. Surprized they haven't put you in the hospital.Its a wonder your not stroking out with high readings.I would be very scared too.How did your doctor appointment go? That made me laugh...lol. I didn't need to have a marrow biopsy due to bp going down to 104/54 thanks to new bp med:"tekturna". My bloodwork has improved alot the best in my entire life. It's still very low but for me its wonderful. I have a ways to go but for the 1st time I see some light in the tunnel with me.

I took Lyrica for a spell but had some crazy side effects so I had to discontinue it.I'm glad it works for you though. Haviing you all here for me works for me as well as my meds and team of doctors. So I thank you all too..Well going to take a nap now, I'll be back on later.
