Welcome Dharma... I too have ET and was diagnosed this past year. The ladies here are wonderful and will be able to offer you great advice. Going to see a neurologist is the best first step I think. They diagnosed me right away. I am on neurontin (the generic being gabapentin) for shaking. Mine is generally in my arms, wrists, and hands. I'm a musician, so the medication really helps when it comes to playing my instrument. I take it twice a day. How do you sleep, because that can be a factor too if it doesnt run in your family. If sleep is an issue, you may want to think about a sleep study. For the rest of all who may read this.. finishing up grading papers and hopefully I will be able to check in more frequently.
