Hi everyone my name is Angela and I am new to this support group type stuff. I have tried dealing with it all and someone told me I should look into support groups so here I am. I have 2 yr old little girl who has to deal with seizures. She had her irst one on her 1st bday and it was classiied as a febriel seizure. Now she is having more serious seizures and there is no known cause. She has them in the middle of the night, which is extremely scary. We have recently been introduced to the idea that her allergy shot could have something to do with it. So I guess I will stop here because I could go on and on.

Hi Angela,

Yes an allergy shot can be related to seizures.

I know this because before I started getting my allergy shots my allergist made sure she got the ok from my neurologist.

Have u spoken to her allergist and her neurologist about this ?

They should both be in on this.

If it is the allergy shots there are other things her allergist can give her beside shots.

Hi Belinda,

Yes, I have discussed this with both of her doctors. Even though there has been no causes found on why she has developed her seizures, they are bot telling me the is absolutely no way that the two are connected. I am just having a hard time understanding how they could believe there is no connection. She had her first seizure the night of one of her shots.

Angela,

JUst because she had a seizure after she had a shot doesn't mean it caused it.There are a lot of different things that cause seizures.

When they don't know that's idiopathic.

They don't always know what causing the seizures to start.

The doctors can be right.

My allergist was scared of my sz's increasing.

That didn't happen.
