MDJunction to me

fluffyluggage"I found MDJunction at a time when I was struggling with so much. I
was so sick. I found a home, a place where people understood me, when
even my family doubted me. In MDJ, I found a place of refuge, love,
and support. I come here daily, to find my balance, to cope, and to
find that same support I've found from day 1. MDJ is my new family.
The friends I've made here will remain with me for a lifetime.

Hi all I am new to this group and I am looking for answers and hope someone can help me on this. I line dance at one of our local country clubs. I LOVE to line dance I don't smoke nor drink. This club I go to people smoke and one of my friends she smokes worse then any chimney I have ever seen, every time I go an dam near her after I come home I smell like I am the one that has been smoking, my hair and my clothes smell like smoke. The next morning I have a headache that feels like I have a hang over and feel sick to my stomach . Is it possible that I am allergic to cigarette smoke? And if so what are people doing for it? I have asked my friend nicely to please not smoke near me and go to another table but she doesn't and if I go to another table she gets very offended. The non smoking club we had went out of business Sad I have always been very sensitive to very strong perfumes. I don't have asthma never have had any kind of breathing problems. This has just got me so concerned and I know all about second hand smoke. I have a cousin that says she is allergic to cigarette smoke and just wondering if I may be also, since how I am feeling the following morning. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated Thank in advance :=)Sick Sick

Hello

I am allergic to cigarette smoke and I become very ill when expossed to it. The only solution for me is to stay away from it.

There is one thing that might give you some relief tho. I used to be allergic to perfume and cologne and taking an Alkaseltzer GOLD would help after exposure

Hope this helps

I feel the same way after I am exposed to cigarette smoke and I do everything I can to avoid it. Luckily our city voted on it and banned smoking in public places. If your friend does not understand it or won't try that is not your problem. I would not worry about offending her at all. I would definitely get up and move when she smokes.

Yes, it is wise to get up and move when your friend smoke. Also your friend should try to understand your problem and cooperate accordingly.
