Dear HappyHearter,

It is so good to meet you!SmileSmileSmile I read your story.

When i was first diagnosed i was terrified and cried for a couple of months. All through the time that i knew i had a progressive disease directly linked to my smoking, i smoked on. Had i quit at that time, i would not be this bad ...moderate/severe emphysema. Now i am suffering from all the sick things this disease does to us. All the things that keep us from having fun at certain times. That is the kicker...we never know when we are going to get very sick or go to hospital.

Please give it some thought,HH. If you quit now, you will be ahead of the game. If you wait, you will be sucked in to it. If you are scared now, you should be. This disease is horrible.

Keep us posted and let us know how you are doing. Our thoughts and prayers are going out to you.

Love to you and Big Gentle Hugs,

Doris
