I am new here. So, I wanted to introduce myself and share a little about me. I have been a widow for six years now. It was sudden/unexpected. We have four children: girl, 22; boy, 19; boy, 17; and girl, 14. They keep me going. I recently ended a two year relationship with a man who emotionally abused me. Angry

I know I did the right thing by breaking up with him! But, I feel no one understands my pain. Losing my boyfriend has sent me back into grief (not only for the loss of the relationship but also for my late husband!) I have nowhere to turn. So, I'm hoping for some support and understanding here.

Thanks for listening!

Niki C., Thank you! It's nice to know I'm not alone; especially when I'm feeling so alone in my life right now.

I'm certain you did the right thing! It is hard to be without anyone at all, but I've learned that sometimes, being with the wrong person is worse than being alone. Hang in there!

Previous discussions I participated in:
maybe it's a little late for this

Thank you rangiku. I know you're right about being alone. I agree being with the wrong person is worse. But on nights like tonight (Friday night and all my kids are out), I really wish I had someone to share the time with. But, I must remind myself, he was the WRONG one! Sad

trying2bhappy, if you have a good friend call them when you are lonely, come online and talk to others on here, read a book, do anything you can to occupy your mind. I know it's easier said than done.
