I'm so pleased to have found this site. I've had dyshidrosis since I was a kid. I had a nasty outbreak that first time involving both of my hands, blistering, cracking, peeling. I was awful. I've only had minor outbreaks since then. Last December, however, I started getting an outbreak between my ring and index finger on the right hand...it started cracking and peeling...I have NO idea what started it. Then all of the sudden, in the last few weeks, it's just blown up all over my right hand, and started mildly breaking out on my left. I'm so frustrated. I haven't done anything different, used anything different...eating anything different...I'm at a total loss for figuring out what is triggering this outbreak. I've tried an eczema cream, which helps with the cracking, but seems to just create more blisters. My hands have been really dry, but eczema, lotions for sensitive skin...all just seem to keep the blisters coming. I've tried AC vinegar soaks, which so far haven't done much at all. I haven't gone to a dermatologist yet...and would really rather avoid the expense. Anyone have any ideas on how to stop the blisters outbreaks?

I know how you feel ravenyb, I've only had this problem about a year and a half and a few months ago mine blew up for no reason covering my entire right hand and parts of my left hand. I haven't seen a derm either because the waiting list is so long (been waiting over a year). I find practically nothing helps ease it so lately I've been trying to figure out what could be causing it, especially the massive flare up. I'm considering undiscovered allergies at the moment, maybe this could be relevant to you? It's very hard to figure out though. Maybe something dietary either? If I find anything that helps ease the blister outbreaks though I'll let you know.

I just posted an introduction that will give you two methods to try. A quick easy to get started though, try Psoriasin Gel (make sure it is gel, and ointment in the tub didn't work nearly as well) I usually pop the blisters because it seems to make the healing go faster for me, spread the gel over the effected areas, then spread A&D ointment over them and put cotton gloves on for the night. That should at least help clear up the current outbreak.
