Some back ground. As some of you know my husband plays guitar in a band. He has been in one band or another since he was 15. A few weeks ago his brother called and wanted to get the old band back together. The 3 brother's and a few friends played together as kids. So the band has been practicing here, and at another location as well. I don't see my husbands family, I decided to stop about 5 years ago.

New dilemma

The band wants to have a party for someone I don't know or haven't met. The brothers and wives could be there. This is what keeps me home. I do want to go for my husband sake. But he will be playing most of the time and that doesn't thrill me. Joe is always so happy to have me with him.

With the last band I didn't go to practices. The kids were to young. the kids are older now. I don't trust my younger one, he will have to come with.

Please, R.S.V.P. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Clap

I know how you feel about one of their wives. And I wouldn't blame you if you didn't want to go, but maybe if you try this once nothing will happen to upset you. You may even feel relieved from the bad experience you had before.

Just a feeling,,,it may work out and you will be glad you went.

Hugs,

Patty

Clap, that's a tough one and like Patty said, I also remember how you feel about one of the wives.

Since you asked for opinions, it doesn't sound like you want to go at all. There are times I dreaded going somewhere and nearly stayed home, but went anyway and had a much nicer time then expected. There have also been times I went somewhere expecting to have a good time and it was awful. Maybe this is the same kind of luck that you'll have? You're thinking it won't be good and you'll end up having fun?

I hate it when I feel I HAVE to go somewhere and really don't want to so I know how you feel.

Seriously, if you doubt to go..there may be a reason deep down in your heart telling you NO, I DONT WANT TO GO!..then I wouldn't. But if not take different cars, that way you can leave when you want to go...just a suggestion...

He has asked me again if I'm going to go. I told him I'm not sure, but I think he knows I'm not going. I told him I'm concerned about the place where we will be. Will I have a decent place to sit and be warm, he can't say yes or no to that. My Ra demands that I take care of myself. I believe he understands my concerns. I won't be going.

Sounds like a good decision, Clap. I'm the same way. If I know I'm not going to be comfortable, especially when you're not feeling well, it's better not to go. GBHugs, Donna

The minute he said we will bring out lawn chairs, I knew I wouldn't go. I might as well give away our lawn chairs (atleast mine) I would never get out of it once in. Sitting outside is not something I can do. It's not going to be warm on Sunday, only 60. The Ra won't have it. Maybe another time.

I hear ya, Clap. I need to get out and clean four nestboxes, but unless the sun comes out, which I don't see that happening, it won't get done. We're in for cooler and wetter weather. Now I wish I cleaned them yesterday, but I hurt so much! I've been deeling with the depression on top of it, I never got outside. I went out the day before yesterday to take care of the four rabbits. Blaze leaves for her new home Memorial Day weekend. I know the gal that is buying her. Her granddaughter lost her bunny over the weekend, and I know she'll be going to a good pet home. Otherwise I'd of never sold Blaze. She's been the group mascot of the one me and my friend is in, since the day she was born. It's an horse group, only horse group I'm in now, I left the majority of them, but the one. We're all pretty close friends, so stayed in it. Hope you get to feeling better. You have to look out for yourself. GBHugs, Donna

I went. No BIL or SIL showed up Smile The weather was nice and the company was pleasant. I knew many of the family members that came to the birthday for the 11 yo girl. Never met the girl before.

I made a witty comment to the host. He said he loves having people over. I said good because I'm a professional guest, just invite me. I'll come to his party, sit around, eat his food and make pleasant conversion. LOL

The only reason I went was for my husband. He just didn't get how much courage it took me to go. He even made a snide remark on the way home. Going again??????
