My husband and I are searching for a doctor who will perform NA in his office. We live in Bucks County Pennsylvania. Although we have found some physicians who do this procedure in Philadelphia, they only take the big insurances so we have to be careful where we go. Any thoughts? We are currently working with an ortho surgeon who will not do the NA although he's been trained in it.

Thank you,

nerine

A lot of ortho surgeons will only do what they are comfortable with or what makes them the most money. Which ever the case, and they won't admit to it you have to try and convince them that the NA is what you feel more comfortable doing. Either that or keep looking for a different DR. You might even ask about other options such as xiaflex. Good luck, John.

Smile Hi Nerine! Welcome to our dup support group!!

Well, Nerine-we are almost neighbors----i live in Montgomery county! I do know know of any dr. that will do the NA treatment. I have had the surgery on my right hand----it was about a year ago---and recovery was not too bad----it has been fine every since. The doc. i went to was a plastic surgeon and also a hand surgeon. My understand is that if the "core" of the dup is gone--then it will not come back....so, you really need someone who has alot of experience.

Take care. Keep us posted--we are always intersted to learn more.....Hugs, SunflowersSmile
