There are some things in my life I have done that I have not been proud of, in fact I felt shame when I would think of those things, but just thinking about them didn’t help to take that guilt away. Guilt is a heavy burden to carry. Eventually, when I was ready, I had to own up to my wrong doings. I confessed to my spiritual advisor. I was advised on ways that I could amend my past transgressions and I followed that advice to the best of my ability. What a relief! It’s hard to do, but well worth the effort. It makes me wonder why I waited so long. Now I can share my experience with others hoping that they, too, will unload their past regrets in the same fashion.
