Dear Members,

Thank you all for your participation in this forum.

I offer you encouragement today, as you proceed on your journey to recovery.

There is no law which says that you have to live in misery or that you have to focus on your disease and your problems 24/7! Please take time out now and then to see things from another perspective--another point of view.

Please don't overlook that your personal situation always presents unique things, things that are a little different from others. Try to avoid "comparing" too much.

Remember that we are all at different stages of recovery, understanding, and growth. Focus on the idea that we all walk a common path by helping each other, but that we all have different destinies according to what our lives and our loves demand.

Try to find excitement in your journey. Embrace changes and take time out to find moments of peace and happiness.

Try not to miss the special moments. Every day presents an opportunity for some joy, if we can allow ourselves to see it. Okay?

Take care, and please keep posting.

Respectfully,

Jim
