Hi! I'm new to this group and would like to get some feedback on the different treatments used for dry eye. My Doctor subscribed some steroid drops but they made my eyes burn even more. Right now I'm trying to get by on over the counter treatments like systane. So far I have not used restasis because of the cost. Thanks in advance! Annette.

HI Annette,I too have dry eyes and episcleritis, excuse the spelling.

My Doctor perscribed eye drops called-Liquifilm Tears.

They cost about £3.00 something here in the uk.they help a wee bit!

I put Nashville on my site as my address as there wasnt anything for any other country, I see your from Germany, Das ist ein schoenes land! I have been several times to Germany,it is so pretty!

I dont speak much German just a few words.

Anyway Willkommen!

You might not be German but I thought Id put a few words in anyway, Happy Christmas,Frohe Weihnachten! Marwenna

Hi there! I no longer live in Germany even though especially around Christams I wish I still did but I was born and raised there.I've lived in the US for about 25 years now. I've tried several dry eye treatments so far, all with so-so results.I have not tried Restasis,it supposed to be quite expensive. I wish there was something to stop making my eyes look so red a lot of times,I read that the conventional treatments "to get the redness out" are really not a good idea for us Dry Eyer's. I'm afraid I dont know whhat Episcleritis is,is it also an Eye condition? Nice hearing from you there in merry ole England, has Father Christmas been there yet? Talk to you later,Annette.

I just read your second mail where I saw that you were able to read in my former mail that I was born in Germany but by then I'd already sent my answer I was born in Frankfurt and grew up near there. I'd like to see Scotland someday as well!!! Annette.

Hi Annette, Ive been to LA, Utah,Nashville,Chicago,

New York, and stopped off at lots of airports in between.

When I see the Specialists at the Hospitals they say things like "Youre Still with us are you?"

or "Its a miracle youre still with us"

But Hey I dont care coz ive had years and years that i

shouldnt have had, and anyway its up to God when he wants me Home.
