Welcome to the group. I am sorry you are having such a difficult time. Things you can do for yourself--- 1- Go to a narcanon meeting. They are free and for family members of the addict. Narcotics anonymous for him. 2- Find a counselor near your home for you to go to. 3- Read Co-dependancy no more. It's a great book. 4-See if your state has mental health funds available for treatment for him. 5- Take care of yourself first!!! Is he willing to go to treatment? What is his drug of choice? I am at my wits end. I have lost so much so fast all for the love of a man. I married him and had no idea he was an addict. Things are way out of control. Does it get better? What can I do? I am lost in this situation. I have no idea of what to do next. He says he wants help but I really can't tell. I am truly a hostage to this love
