So I have a question for you guys.

i mentioned earlier somewhere about how I was having my tonsils out. The pain quieted down and things were fine yet now suddenly one side is givingfure hell.

I'm still taking the meds pretty regurally and I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for me on dealing anymore of the pain killers. They gave me lortab 7.5-500.

Only reason I ask for advice is I'm worried about stop with taking it and any side effects I may have or getting sick once I stop. I just don't know. I'm looking for any advice on how to safely make a move from the lortab to tylenol or anything.

thanks!!

Sarah

Steve is right. Cold turkey is hard on the body and mind. I know because I had to go cold turkey after taking narcotics for 18 years. You don't want to have all the hallucinations, bad dreams, cold sweats, body aches, headaches, sleeplessness, and diarrhea/vomiting.

Wean yourself by taking 1/4 less a day for a few days, then 1/4 less than that for several days, etc. until you are off it. Odds are you won't need tylenol because you shouldn't have any pain by then.

It will be very hard going cold turkey, alot of side effects, how long have you been on lortab, the longer you are on it the worse is the side effects. It will be better to wean yourself off, take a little less every few days. hope it works for you. Let us know how you are doing, If you need someone to talk to or to vent you can always send me a PM, I will be there for you, to help you
My advice is purely personal. I am not a Doctor. Please do not take anything I say as medical advice or a diagnosis.

I've been on it since the 13th. I was able to stay it for a couple days. One night I ended up staying up cleaning for an inspection. I only got a couple hours of sleep. That killed my immune system again so I went back to taking the lortab for pain. I hae been able to somewhat cut back taking 100mg instead of 150. I've actually been able to eat applesauce and drink cold water so I'm trying to stick to Ibuprofin.
