I am so sorry for all that your going through. I know it has to be very hard on you and your family. It isn't easy to see your child making the wrong choices and not be able to show them the right direction. I feel your pain. I don't know exactly what your going through but I do understand. I can't imagine how much you must hurt. Has your son been in touch with you? Have you ever thought of doing an intervention? Is he in trouble with the law at all? That is usually a good way to get a person into a program. Have you found any support for yourself? There are meetings for the loved ones of the addict. They may help and give you some support.
