 I just jumped over from my FM group because I need to get some help for my sister. She has Hep C from years of drug and alcohol abuse. She is on interferon and several oral meds right now. She was clean for several months but as soon as her doc told her she was improving...guess what? Yep. Her boyfriend called me last night to tell me she was taking Klonopin like candy. I think she's doing this because she has ruined her CNS and when she isn't buzzed, she looks like a chipmunk on caffeine. She does the tippy toe dance, fingers always moving and face twitching. I cry when I see that. To calm herself down she does anything she can get her hands on to get off that crazy ride. I want to help but I don't know what to do. Should she tell her doctor? What? She has been banned from my home and stuff but I send her packages of gifts and write to her and stuff...I just don't enable anymore. If you can give me some ammo so that when I call her, I can give her an idea of what to do. She listens to my advice is she can at the time. Thank you and blessings from my heart to all of you.

 I have a sister who has gotten into my meds twice and I wouldn't help her for anything. my meds are my lively hood there for my seizures.

She once went phychotic on my meds because she took so many.She wreaked my apartment.She's tried to commit suicide supposedly on my epilepsy meds. Call her doctor get her into rehab she'll get your meds if she cAN.

I know from experience.

I'm on Tegretol 1200MG a day Clonazepam 3 1/2 MG a day and Topamax 400MG a day.

 OMG, it sounds like you're talking about my sister. Stealing my mom's seizure meds and stuff. Her boyfriend did say that she has been throwing stuff around the house and doing crazy, crazy stuff. I have no intention of letting her anywhere near any of us but I did want to talk to her on the phone and try to get her some help. Her boyfriend was talking nonsense like he was going to send her here to live with us. Hell no he's not. Well, either way....thanks for writing me back. I wish I could get her committed but I don't know how.

 Dear, you are doing the right think in not enabling her, I used to take Klonopin for RLS, but since I decided to be "clean" I have refused all kinds of controlled meds. I have a number you can call for 24/7 helpline...maybe one of my friends can help you better than I can, they are professionals and pulled me through that vicious cycle...maybe they can tell you how you can help, or a way to get her help.

 Thank you, Thank you. That's what I say to you. I wrote down the number and I am calling it. As if things aren't bad enough....my youngest son (23) who has been in recovery for 5 years was in a bad auto accident last night. He had 4 beers in 4 hours...his bloodwork was .092. He's screwed. Broken ribs, etc. Rolled his female friends' car over 3 times to miss hitting a doe. She was ok cause she was drunk as hell. That area is famous for deer crossing. Thanks for listening to me cause I am losin it!
