Domestic Violence Online Support Group

Hi I was just recently left by my abuser 3 months ago and am wondering whats the approprite amount of time i should wait before dating agian. I am still not completely over my ex but i am doing much better. I was put on anti depressant and I also take meds for being bipolar. I dont want to rush into a relationship I am not ready for that just would like to get out more. Any thoughts would help thanks all

ere,I think that is a question that probably only you can answer.But please give yourself plenty of time to heal.Abuse takes a terrible toll.Make sure you get some counseling to deal with the aftereffects of the abuse.You may want to concentrate on just having fun and making good friends to socialize with.Definitely do not rush into anything.Okay?

Must agree with Lanna, ere. You do need to get out and socialize and have some fun peaceful times, but as far as getting involved in another relationship, hmmmmmm well first you need to make time to heal and become whole. You need to dabble in your new found freedom and find out what you need and what you want. Please don't jump into a new relationship out of lonliness or the need to have someome. Thanks Lanna and Abbey Yeah I am definatley learning to find myself agian and its nice to not have drama for once in my life. I do get lonely but I need to fix myself first your right. I'm glad its summer its making my spirits lift a bit take care

I am pretty secure with my current relationship

with my Dog.

That's about all I can handle right now.
