MDJunction to me

mabri"When I was diagnosed about 18 months ago with fibromyalgia, I didn't know where to turn. I got on my computer and looked for a support group where I could talk to other people with the same disease and get some help...Information, suggestions, mostly just what I can do now that I have this.....disorder/disease/syndrome...I didn't even know what to call it. I found MDJ, and yes, there was a support group for fibro. I started a post, and figured I would never get an answer. However, very quickly I was welcomed in, and became really involved in the group. I received help, support, friendship and the feeling of being truly cared about by these strangers who had become like family to me. Now, I have been here for about a year and a half...I have become a group leader, and love every minute of it. It is so wonderful to be able to help others. I still receive help and answers from the members in this group. The fibromyalgia is where I go to help, support, listen, care and even laugh. I don't know what I would do without this group." Hi guys, sorry i havnt been here for awhile... School and family obligations kept me quite busy.

I read your threads and comments and it makes me happy to see your progress. Failures are part of success as well.

I just wanted to share with you where im at in terms of messy and disorganized to encourage you all: my living room, dinning room, kitchen are still kept clean. I have been able to maintain it for the past 2-3 months! I am so proud of myself! Shamefully, my bedroom and shelves are still a mess Sad

I will use some of the wise advises here to combat this part as well.

Wish all of you best luck Smile keep writing and sharing with us all thats on your mind !SmileSmileSmile

I love this group and think it's one of the most helpful to me hear at MDJ. I think that's because I don't have to rely on medication or a tdoc to get results.

My bedroom and office are in shambles, too. But I have managed to keep the living room in better shape now. I swoop through weekly and pick up and I wipe up in the bathroom as soon as I see things needing it instead of waiting until it's a total mess (i.e. gas station level). I have a bookcase in the living room that is begging for straightening and my plan is to go through and look for books that I no longer want or need and take them to the local library for their book sale rack. The other option is a local thrift store. Then I am going to put the rest in alphabetical order by author. Maybe that would work for you, too.

"Shamefully, my bedroom and shelves are still a mess"

No focusing on the negative! It's ok to view them as goals or messes to be conquered but it is not 'shameful' it's just work yet to be done!

Especially in light of all you have accomplished you shouldn't use the word shameful.

Congrats on your FANTASTIC PROGRESS! And good luck on completing you room and shelves.
