hello everyone-

i hope that all had a great easter and everyone is recovering quite nicely.............

i just have one quick question for all-

since i had my surgery back in january, upon coming home a few days later i noticed that the pointerfinger and tall man and sometimes my thumb tingle- quite often during the day. it goes into spots in my arm- between the wrist and elbow and then sometimes it will tingle above the elbow. not for long- just enought to annoy the living daylights out of me!!!! Does anyone else have this problem???

Just wondering. And since having this surgery i have added about 10 pounds and cannot seem to lose it.

I am frustrated at this as well...........i was on my way to losing weight but sometimes i think i will never get there.

Currently i am on no meds for the diabetes- just diet and exercise and i would love to keep it that way...........

thanks ahead of time for the help and thoughts on this................

Hey Katrina, your tingling is something that you need to talk with your doctor about, for the moment I would not worry to much about the weight, you have plenty of time to take it back off..your scar on the outside might be healed, but the rest of the body takes a while to get over surgery.

sorry for the late reply carmen-

kids have been keeping us busy lately- to much in fact!!

thank you for the reply- i will see what the dr says as i think i also have another yeast infection- i know my sugars are horrid now- again. i gained the 10 pounds and my numbers are up some- more than what i wanted to see- so if they do not start to come down again soon i will have to call the dietitian and get some meds in me- even if for a while. i do not want that but if it helps me some then i guess i have to do so.

Lol, kids will do that to you, they need to give the new mother and father a plaque that says your life will never be the same, you will never sleep through the whole night, you will never have peace and quiet, you will never have a day to yourself..rofl.. but then you will never have little arms reach out for a hug and say Mommy I love you, if you don't have them.. they can be blessings.

Don't sweat the numbers right now, what are they running anyway? you have had such tight control I kinda doubt they are in the range you need to panic about.. if you need a short course of meds, take them, I've been on mine for quite a while now and they are doing wonderful, last ha1c was a 6.2

okay i went to the dr again today- and as it turns out- its not carpel tunnel- thank goodness. on the other hand- its a pinched nerve-and its in my elbow for now. so starting tomorrow i have pt and go from there- and the school called me today in the dr office to offer me the job!!!! so i started working today- needless to say- that did not help me much with the arm and finger tinglings.

I just wanted to let you all know that i found out what is my problem - thanks for listening...................

Hey katrina, congratulations on the new job, that is wonderful, and I am grateful that you know what is going on with the tingling, with it being a pinched nerve, you can get it worked out, bad timing I know for needing PT, but you can work around it, and I am sure your job will work with you too. Keep us posted as to how things are going for you.
