MDJunction to me

"I have been struggling with Fibromyalgia, Bipolar, Anxiety, Post traumatic Syndrome for quite some time and pretty much going it alone. I stumbled across MDJunction by accident. I stayed in the shadows and just watched for four days and then I joined, feeling relieved and excited to have found a safe place with alot of folks that I could relate to . It's proove to be medically and emotionally
helpful to me and now I can't go a day without coming in at least 4 or five times a day! I Love my family here.

hey Earle, I am happy to hear that she is back at work, that is great, I can just imagine how bad she is hurting at the end of the day.

Those that do not stop ought to be reported, I drove 17 passenger buses, most of the time unless I was hauling special needs kids, I mainly transported Seniors and physically/mentally disabled people.. from the years of driving, I found myself out of habit doing it in my personal car...lol, still make the checks of mirrors, and lights all the time, constantly check the tires..etc.. only thing I don't go looking for is my tie downs for the wheelchairs, drove a 6 wheelchair bus for a while, that was always fun trying to get them all in there and tied down securely.. had to slide up under more than one to get it secured..

Wasn't it fun? did yours have those back escape ramps? I don't know how the heck they expected you to off load passengers safely using those things, as you would be hard pressed just getting it down without losing control, never mind the lip at the end that would cause you and the chair to tip over on your noses..

you only had the lift as a escape route? what the heck were you suppose to do if you had a electrical fire, the lift didn't work? take them out of the chair and throw them out the door? sometimes though looking at the escape ramp on the vehicle made me think that might be the best course of action, a runaway chair with a person who is unable to try and stop themselves might cause a heck of a lot more damage to them than just tossing them down the ramp.. if your van is like what I use to drive, it is made primarily out of fiberglass and will go up in a heartbeat, you have very little time to react.

I think most of the "escape" doors in those are of no use..
