My daughter and I have Diabetes II. Metformin 500 mg daily has kept my sugars in the 130 range mostly, sometimes jumps up into 150's. However, my daughter's sugars have been uncontrolled and very high - usually over 200-280. After a recent trip to cardiac ICU, the doctor and diabetic educator recommended that she try Victoza injections (instead of going on insullin). Happy to report that she has, for the first time in years, lost weight! She has gone from size 18 down to below a 16 in jeans. She is feeling so much better. Her blood pressures are more controlled now. We also joined the internet program called www.myfitnesspal.com recommended by the diabetic educator) and we have been very blessed by it. We have found it so easy to track our food plan and I have lost close to 30 lbs. I am amazed. Hope our information helps someone else!

HI WOLFMANPARK,

SORRY TO TAKE SO LONG TO GET BACK TO YA.

YOU CAN TAKE VICTOZA WITH SOME INSULINS BUT IT'S BEST TO CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR FIRST. I MYSELF TAKE VICTOZA ALONG WITH LANTUS. IT'S GREAT IN HELPING BRING YOUR GLUCOSE NUMBERS DOWN AND IT HAS BEEN KNOW TO HELP SOME PATIENTS LOSE WEIGHT. LIKE ME!Wink

YOU'LL HAVE TO DISCUSS IT WITH YOUR DOCTOR FIRST SINCE VICTOZA IS BY PRESCRIPTION ONLY.

TAKE CARE!

HUGS,

KATHLEEN
