MDJunction to me

aTinaL"To me, Mdjunction comes down to motivation. The support and information I have found here motivated me to take a very proactive stance regarding my illness. This led me to find medication and doctors that are giving me my life back.
More important than even the motivation, though, is the friendship I have found at MDJ. I have made some of the best friends of my entire life right here in this group. Even though most of us have never met, it feels as if we have known each other for years.
If Angels walk among us, and I believe that they do, most of them are here at MDJ.

I am a diabetic. Just want to know if anyone experienced a sleepy feeling or actual falling asleep after eating a bar of chocolate. Do anyone know if this is okay and I would like to hear from someone who experienced this before.Smile

Yes, when your sugar goes up, you might feel sleepy. I've experienced this many times. However, it is better to count your carbs and not eat more than what your medication can cover. Having high sugars can cause a lot of other health problems in the long run.

Suzie75,

High blood sugar can cause fatigue and sleepiness. With you being a diabetic..well I hope that chocolate bar was sugar free! It's okay to 'splurge' occasionally but remember constant high blood sugar can cause some serious health complications.

Take care!

Hugs,

Kathleen
