That's an extremely good idea. I'm not sure how much my dad could do with the stove but he can do the microwave real good.

Microwave it is then, you can get the little plastic containers that have the compartments, where you put the meat and veggies, have the meat already cooked, for something like fresh or frozen veggies a little butter and their ready to roll, potato's can be frozen too, if he leaves the top on, he will want to just take it off and then lay it on top without resealing, better yet, just put a piece of plastic wrap over it, saves the lid from warping. you want to have something covering the food, as it will dry out and get the veggies tough, and if it is something that could spatter it will make a mess, and most meats will spatter.. 3 minutes or so should do it..

Remember, he can have just about anything, just make sure you pay attention to the portion size, most of us think the proper portion for potato's is a quarter of the plate, lol, it's more like a cup..

Earle, you mean that you don't just snack on things if you have the opportunity rather than eating a good meal? My hubby does, and that was what I had meant about being a man trait..sorry didn't mean it as a offence..

My daddy tends to snack on candy, those cinnamon hard candies. It's terrible! I'm going to get off work early tomorrow and see what I can get done around the house, cooking wise. I'm going to fix a special meal for David, hopefully I can get some put up for dad and David for thursday too. They're big men.

hmm, anyway you can sneak out the sugared stuff and substitute it with sugar free? being cinnamon, he should not be able to tell the difference, and cinnamon is said to aid in reducing blood sugars, I have taken to throwing a little into the morning coffee.

well, that's just the thing with sugar free and that with sugar in it. It's not the sugar count it's the carbohydrates that he's looking at. There are more carbs in sugar free than there is in regular. Sometimes.

your right there could be, and sometimes the sugar alcohols that they use to make the sugar free can be just as bad, on the average about how many does he eat a day?
