hey Amy welcome to the group, how is the pump working out for you? I have heard about it, but never have had to use it..

If you haven't checked it out yet, we have a recipe exchange here for lots of good recipes, and if you have some you would like to share you are more than welcome to do so, also as you browse the other posts in the group, you will find a lot of good links that Earle one of our members have added, if you have any you would like to share we would appreciate them too...

Thanks I will go check them out, I am forever looking for something new. It is working a lot better then the shot did, because I am getting insulin all the time, I love it, it has different fitures like it counts carbs and tells me how much insulin to take.

I love the pump. All three of my kids are on the medtronic paradigm brand. It brings the spontaneity back. The twins have been pumping for 6 years now and my eldest for 2.

Amy, just curious but how did your pregnancies go with your two bio kids? Were you pumping at the same time?

I didn't have the pump with my 2 kids, but in 2005 is when I went on the pump the 1st time I was pregnant for the 4th time and mad it to 4 months and then lost her, it really helped a lot being on the pump not only for the control but for the convenience because I was up to 12 shots a day.

I'm so sorry. That must have been tough.

The reason I put my twins on the pump was due to the night time sugars. We kept trying new cocktails of insulins but couldn't prevent the highs and lows. Finally they went on the pump and ta da! I has been great ever since. The only thing I don't like is when they have a clogged site...the highs get so high before they notice.

I had the night time hihs as well, and I havn't had that problem with the clogged site yet, I do have a problem with site placement, I can't put it just anywhere, but for the most part I love it.
