MDJunction to me

fluffyluggage"I found MDJunction at a time when I was struggling with so much. I
was so sick. I found a home, a place where people understood me, when
even my family doubted me. In MDJ, I found a place of refuge, love,
and support. I come here daily, to find my balance, to cope, and to
find that same support I've found from day 1. MDJ is my new family.
The friends I've made here will remain with me for a lifetime.

So this has been a topic before and I have read a lot of great things about juicing. So I have decided to do a 10 day fast with nothing but fruit and vegetable juices. I just ordered the juicer and I decided to buy the mac daddy juicer called Breville Juice Fountain Elite. There are much cheaper juicers out there but I decided to get the higher end one because I plan on using this thing for a long time.

Of course eating/drinking nothing but juice and water comes with some risks. Here is a great link that really spells out the pros and cons of juicing. http://altmedicine.about.com/od/detoxcleansing/a/ juice_fasting.htm I have decided to do it because I just finished reading the Gerson Therapy book and it just makes sense.

I will keep everyone posted on the day to day once I get the juicer. I will post my weight and how I feel. If I feel good after the 10 days I may go another 10 we shall see. Looking forward to it.

Here is a really good video that really breaks down the entire juicing/fasting/cleansing process. http://youtu.be/M9a5PwNmqAg

Day 1. I woke up this morning to the first day of my 10 day juice fast/cleansing. I weighed 159lbs. I started to get a headache halfway through the day but this is normal. The worst day is probably going to be tomorrow. The juices have been pretty good. I did make one with a little to much ginger but hey it was an experiment. I will post again on day 5. Wish me luck.

You go boy! It sounds like it is definitely worth a try. Are you still doing the IV therapy? I am addicted to V8 and drink one every day. Hope the headache went away. Hugs, Grandma Sylvia

Damien,

I am excited to hear how your fast effects you.

Juicing always makes me feel a little better & I have

been trying to get up the strength for a juice fast.

I just watched "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead", he did a

60 day juice fast.

I have been doing the coffee thing for over a year now & it

helps with pain.

I'll be following you with your juicing and possibly will be starting my own pretty soon. Dr. Herbst said that with my digestive system almost non-existent, this could be something that I may need to do lifelong unless I can kick start it to working on its own. Thanks for sharing your results' I appreciate it!

Thanks guys. Today went better than what I thought. I actually feel pretty good. I watched that same thing and the one thing I took away from it was the micro-nutrient foods thing. After my fast I think I am going to stick just to fruits, vegetables, beans, and nuts. After reading The Gerson Therapy I thought what could it hurt to give it a try. Yes, Sylvia I still get lidocaine infusions once every 4 weeks. It is still helping tremendously with pain.

Alright,

So I ended up giving up on day 5. I was doing a lot of traveling and I didn't have access to the juicer. But, I have stayed on the micro-nutrient diet since. To be honest I haven't felt so good. The pain is all but gone. I mean it still comes in waves but it isn't near as bad. Plus I have not seen or felt any new lipomas. So I will stick to the fruits, vegies, beans and nuts for a while and see what happens.

Everyday that goes by and the better I feel the more I think DD has something to do with the way our bodies process, processed food. I think for some reason our bodies decide to store the extra fat differently than that of everyone else. I think instead of just having regular fat we get these painful lipomas. It is something to think about.
