MDJunction to me

liamacker"The part of my recovery plan that I would say made up 80% is MDJ. I suffered a lot prior to finding MDJ, felt alone and had no one to talk to who really understood me. In the Bipolar Group I found like minded individuals who I could relate to and who offered support to me when I needed it. As I recovered, I could then offer support to them which gave me a good feeling about myself. I have met some great people here who I would class as good friends and know I would still be in the slump I was in without them. Now I am stable, I know that MDJ plays an important part in keeping me that way. Thank you MDJ for being there for us all and making us no longer feel alone." (liamacker)

Hi. name is Diana.Dee for short. Hi just turned 20 in May 23. My life is a roller coaster and I'm sure all of you know what I mean. I was diagnosed this year. It's a rough two years for me and my family I have a lot of stories that could go on and on about. I'm pretty tired today for once this year since I've had insomnia forever and I couldn't sleep forever.I don't feel well right but now I'll go on saying that I think I am going to like it here.I can feel it. I feel a little drowsy forgive me. Well about me erm..I play the guitar and I'm majoring in art.I'll have pics up later.

Hi Dee,

I'm finding more & more young people like urself with DD.

The information we have is so old.

Trauma is connected to DD as it also seems to be heredity in many cases.

Do tell ur story1

Love & hugs,

Sigrid

Welcome to our group Dee.

My name is Christine, I am co group leader with Jennifer. I started my DD symptoms as a teenager with fat in my hips and knees and at around 20 I progressed as well. I am sorry that you are going through this as I understand your dilemma. Are you taking trazedone to help you sleep at night? My doctor had me on 50mgs and it helped. I am taking 100mgs now as my pain and DD has progressed so much.

I am curious about your lipomas. Where are yours located and when did you first start having symptoms? If you have any questions we are all here for your support.

I also have a website called dercumsworld.com feel free to check it out. I have pics there of my dd lumps.

Welcome Dee..I am so very sorry that you have DD. I hope our group can support you and answer your questions. How wonderful that you play music and create art. My granddaughter has studied guitar for about a year. She also plays the piano and cello. She is in the choir and has a lovely voice but is too shy to sing for us. My daughter-in-law went to art school and had a business making silver jewelry but had to give it up as it did not generate enough to pay for itself. She spent a fortune for the equipment. Hugs, Grandma Sylvia
