I can no longer get rid of the burning feelings and the whole being able to feel each and every lump below my skin (which are now well into the 100s). Sometimes taking the pain killers and muscle relaxers seems to just elevate the level of being uncomfortable.

I also get the feeling in my legs of "running water". I thought I was crazy on that one until I saw an interview of one of the woman with DD on Facebook did. She described that it felt like a faucet being turned on and off just below her skin.

My sister, the PT, has a new girl working for her. She just learned lymphatic massages. (Not all PT's are certified to do these, so you need to make sure when you make an appointment). So, once again I am going to play guinea pig for the girl and let her practice on me. Hopefully that will help this whole uncomfortable.

Also now the the weather is getting cooler, especially at night, I can head to the hot tub and see if that helps.

I tried to explain the uncomfortable feelings to my friend and she was not buying it. Sometimes I feel like I just want to rip these lumps out of me! OK, a little dramatic but you get my point.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Janet

Well, I'm assuming that feeling means you're about to turn green and burst out of your clothing..... Laughing

I get that way, too. Espcially in my left leg and yeah, I've had that dripping sensation, too. VERY weird when it happens. Do you have a brush for dry brushing? For some reason that helps when my legs feel that way. I brush them and the sensation from the brushing seems to either calm or confuse the other sensations in my leg. And I also will lightly massage lotion into them. Maybe the coolness of the lotion and the soothing motion helps. Don't know but I DO know how you feel.

And I do know the feeling of the friends who look at you like you're imagining or exaggerating or something.

Hang in there, sweetie!

Hugs,

Diane

Janet...I get a feeling like rushing water in my legs sometimes. It is very brief. I like the brushing but it hurts my hands too much. I got a new neck and upper back massager from Brookstone for my birthday. It is pretty nice..quite heavy though. My neck is really bad. When I turn my head it snaps, crackles and pops. The hump is really freakish and quite noticible. I really feel like my joints need a lube job...they are so dry. I wonder if any of the newer members has the hump at the top of their spine...mine is quite large. My upper arm fat is so full of lumps! The ones on the inside of the arm are especially painful. I'm glad the summer is making some of us feel a little better. Enjoy the sun! Hugs, Grandma Sylvia

Hi Grandmasylvia,

I am starting to notice a small hump at the point my shoulder move into my neck. I often feel very tense tight almost painful in that area too. If I pull my shoulder back and make my spine straight my neck will often pop and crack. I have had my neck make a large popping sound and then hurt for the rest of the day. I found getting the right pillow helps but it does not go away. My grandma had this huge hump at point when I last saw her before she died in 90's. She was like half lump and half body. I believe that hump has something to do with osteoporosis but I been told I do not have that, in fact I have great bone density.

Long live summer, if I ever win the lottery I will follow the sun around the world to stay warm. Smile

Have a great day,
Nickie

My neck and upper back have been horrible for over 10 years (when I was in my 20's). My aunt and I have similiar backs, they are rock hard and, yes, I have a bit of a hump. My sister has been trying to work with me on my hump for years. I am hoping it doesn't get too big but I am not even 40 yet and it is a little scary. More scary to my vain side but you know what I mean. I guess there are worse things. Oh, and my neck snap, crackles and pops all the time.

Oh, Diane, I wish my body would just Hulk out and get this burning over and done with but I did have a couple of low pain days so I'll take that for now. Like Sylvia, the running water for me is pretty quick and I do try to massage it away. It can pop up all over my legs not just in the same spot all the time. Very strange feeling.

Thanks for the replies, once again I know I am not crazy - or at least not crazy about my health issues, I know you all believe me to be crazy like a fox Smile

Yep, we most definitely do! Smile

I've got the hump, too. Mine seems to be growing again but doesn't seem to have grown much. I probably need to make my doc check every 6 months or so. My sister told me it looks like I have two eggs there. How cool is that? Laughing

I've been stiff and sore there for years. Of course that is also a fibro trigger area - probably my worst - and I sit in a freezing office with cold air blowing on my shoulders year round.

Glad you are having some good days - you deserve them!

Hugs,

Diane

Oh man Diane..that cold air blowing down on me all those years at work just killed me. My hump is very big now...it is definitely disfiguring. Just off to the side you can see a big lump protruding about the size of an egg. It hurts all the time. I get a feeling of an electric current running from the base of my skull down into my neck. Nickie the osteoporosis hump is a little lower than the DD hump. The DD hump is at the very top of the back..more where the neck starts..the osteoporosis is more in the upper back. I know one woman had her hump removed and it left a very big hole. They even have a name for the DD lump...an elephant hump or a camel hump. When I get in the dentist's chair my head can't rest against the chair right as the hump is in the way..so I am laying funny with my head bent back. One time they dropped my new cap they were putting on into my throat and I almost swallowed it...I could not sit up fast so I was choking on it..I saved it from going down my throat and they finished glueing it in. Just another day in the life and adventures of Grandma Sylvia.

I have trouble getting my hair done because when I have to lean back in the chair at the sink. I get water all down my back almost every time. Stupid hump!!! Mine's not even that big but solid abd tight. Haven't noticed it too bad in the dentist chair...yet.

OK I think my hump is little lower than rest as I can tilt my head back OK. I can make mine go away if I stand super straight and pull my shoulders way back. It is make everything kinda pop when I do it. Kinda like rice crispy cereal Smile
Have a great day,
Nickie

I just turned 33, and I've got no humps, yet. I have many many lil knots, and am going to have an ultrasound done on my abdomen as it is becomeing disfiguring. Oh well not much you can do.... now is there? and the burning sensation in my legs is there, but what can ya do about that?
