Suzann,

When I get too pooped to pop it is usually my iron level - somehow DD and iron deficiency are connected in my system. I suggest that you get your iron and Vit.D levels checked - they work together.

I KNOW the tiredness well - we are old friends for about 40 years (since I was in college). But I would like to dump it and get new friends!

Take care. May you find your strength and see the good you have done.

Annie

Suzann...You know I hold you in great esteem. Your posts are so intelligent and your thoughts are presented so well. No wonder you are tired with all you have had going on at home. I am tired just thinking of your life. SmileI always tell my husband that I feel I can really communicate with you. You are a valued member of this group. We are all so sick and exhausted all of the time it is a wonder we get anything done. We just all need to be gentle with ourselves. I am so sorry that your feelings were hurt...I know how it is to get slapped in the face just when you are trying so hard to help. No one in their right mind minded about the email. Don't give up on us...we need you..Sometimes we just don't have enough strength to go around. I still drive myself a little especially where the grandkids are concerned..but I am trying to be nice to me!! I get my boob stitches out in a few hours..then I can find something else to worry about. Nothing like a favorable pathology report to make your day! Smile You know you are my bud and feel free to PM me if you want to vent...I have quite literally heard it all. For a bunch of women we do pretty well getting along and we DO appreciate YOU! You are my peep...Hugs, Grandma Sylvia

Ohhh G. Sylvia - you are my best bud always! Thanks for your kind words as always! You always compliment my writing abilities, and you are the writer and can write so much more fluently than I ever thought of writing! I envy your ability to put words together the way you do! Yes you do have a full life with the grandkids and I'm happy for you because I think for me, my kids and grandkids are what keeps me pushing myself forward. They are my beacons of light when some days seem to dark to get out of bed! I'm sure it is the same for you and many of us! We do this to help them and pave a way to a hopefully less painful future if they happen to be predisposed to this scourge! I know for me, my fears are very real that either one or both of my girls will end up with DD! I do not want that for them by any means and will usually be ready and willing to fight to the end. Right now I'm just tired and perhaps it is all that is going on in our family right now. Kayla's graduation from college, Cassandra's graduation from high school. Doing all the financial paperwork for both girls for fall semester when Kayla moves on to get her Master's degree and Cassandra begins her freshman year towards her bachelor's degree, then Duane's mom coming (she has altzheimer's and is in 3rd stage for those that don't know it) and we had her for the weekend. All the other projects around the house that need doing and no time, energy and especially no money to do them. Yeah - I'm assuming this is what has me worn out right now. I'll pick it up soon again I hope, just need to back down for a bit is all.

Again, I can't tell you how happy I am that you biopsy came back as negative for cancer! You have to be super relieved. Getting the stitches out today? Yeah, you'll be a free woman again!

Thank you G. Sylvia for your message - we miss you on the ladies forum - it's been super quiet there lately, but you are doing great things here with this lovely bunch of ladies and I can't think of a better place to be right now!

Have a great day everyone!

Guess What???!!!!

Last night, Dercum's Disease was actually on our news Channel 5 here in Charleston. The reporter actually went to Shaw Air Force Base and interviewed Jake Tate, or so it seemed....you know how they can edit things....but anyway, they were pretty good about explaining what the disease IS, how it makes you feel, how debilitating it becomes, etc.. They explained how his story is going to be on Mystery Diagnosis and how he had to go to a lot of doctors before getting a diagnosis and how he went to "California" to see a specialist.....but did NOT mention Dr. Herbst's name. All in all I thought it was a very accurate description of the condition and our plight. I thought I'd contact the TV station today, because I know people who work there and let them know that they have a "local connection". Quite often, they seek out local connections to national stories. (Since it's going to be on Mystery Diagnosis, ya know?) Maybe this will help?????? Let's go girls!!! Get on the spinning wheel while we can!

I love you all and appreciate all you are doing to (hopefully)further our medical treatment in the future.

I'm praying that ALL of us have Less Pain today that Yesterday Smile

I just sent 3 letters out to 3 newspapers about DD and am hoping to hear back from at least one. I sent one to Watertown Daily Time, New York Times, and Albany Times Union about my story and DD and the help we need to get word out. Hopefully someone will do a story. Crossing my fingers and so much for stepping back huh?????
