I'm new to the Depression Forum and have been a member of MD Junction and the Permanently Disabled Forum for only a week or so.

I've had 4 cervical fusions that resulted in permanent nerve damage and am now told that I will not get any better. I have been an insurance adjuster for many years, but now am unemployed due to absences. My health insurance is gone and my meds are a fortune every month. I don't know how I'll handle all of this. I'm just tired.

I don't know how to handle not being able to do the things I used to do, hurting all the time, not being able to work or move. But most of all, I don't know how to handle the thought of being worthless.

I hope that maybe someone here can shed some light on all of the emotions that are hitting me at once.

Thanks

Hello vcasaus,

I'm soooo sorry for what your dealing with. Being tired and sick is part of depression. We all need support. I have a husband who deals with chronic pain (I, too)but he developed severe depression w/ psychotic episodes.

I see his visable sadness.

We have found out that talking about it really helps. If you don't it just gets worse.

I would like to hear your story and if you ever feel like talking feel free to PM me.

It's late tonite and my meds are kicking in but I saw your post and wanted to welcome you. Don't be afraid to type to me.

I hope you can ahve a decent nite.

Spruce

For the last week I've hard a hard time getting out of bed, talking to friends or even my kids...I don't think that I've ever felt so useless or non-productive in my life. I guess I see no reason to get out of bed. Can't do anything, no where to go, no money to go with. I'm not handling this well today or any other day.

Welcome Starchild,

I hope you find some help for you.

I'm sorry your going thru so much. Perhaps if you have'nt yet there are a few other forums that might help. The fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue forum are some. You'll find quite a few there dealing with pain issues. I know it's a good place to vent and talk about what your dealing with!

Just make yourself at home.

V,

Doesn't he seem like a little cutie LOL !?

I know Jay, you hate that, right?????

I'm just kidding around....but you you seem to have a good heart Jay. You just keep hanging in there and if you need to ask us LADIES anything we're here for you!

We maybe older but many of us have gone thru many things and can relate.

Vcasaus, keep an eye on him, we have to keep him on the straight and narrow!!

How're you doing V?

I guess we can take him under our wing and help guide him through the rough spots. Just remember that sometimes the "Mommy instinct" is gonna show up.

Spruce....don't you mean that he's just a lil darlin'?
