Wow, Viv, I hope you don't get caught with those claws in a thorn bush. I take my philosophy as "one day at time", and "this too shall pass". If today isn't so good, just think what you make to make tomorrow even more fantastic.

Got gobs and gobs of laundry if anybody would like to volunteer ROFL

Hi Beth, Just do one load at a time each day for the next 7 days, That could be a good way to achieve that goal. Thats how I do my laundry and it seems I get caught up so fast. I know, being gone you probably have a lot. You could choose to split it in half (most important stuff first) or (easy stuff first) like towels. I think towels are easy, because they all go together to be put away in one place LOl

Good luck, I will root for you. My goal is scaring me today, its beautiful here 70 degrees and I promised to go on a hike to Lake Mi. In Dunes State park, getting cold feet though, hope I can follow through and take some pictures too

Great to hear that somebody is in my predicament with laundry. Sorry to hear that your goal today is scaring you, go on that hike and let the world fall beneath you on beautiful fall days.

Patty I sure hope you reach your goal today and can take some beautiful pictures to share with us..Your others are lovely.

Beth and Sylvia good luck on the laundry.

Bretta I hope you make it to church and to vaccum some.

I now have 7 clean cats...Two small puncture wounds and about 7 or 8 scratches. But hey I did accomplish it though.

Been working alittle on the counters today there is so much piled up on them it will take more than one day but I did make some progress before I stopped to rest and then will tackle a bit more later perhaps when I rest some...

Great Ideal to set attainable goals each of us. I like this thread.

Viv, you're so right, I shouldn't be looking at the piles, just take it as easy it comes and worry about it tomorrow. MITZIGIRL, please check your "private messages"...thanks!

Im sorry to say I cant make my Goal today, my left shoulder started to ache so bad and with my rt rsd foot hurting as well, not a good idea to go by myself. If I were to fall in the woods, I would be left there sitting up against a dead tree trunck. So I made mine to vacume with right arm. I made that one, so partial sucess. I think I pulled something in my shoulder, got icy mineral on it and in a sling. The muscle is so sore in the shoulder. Need to rest it to day

Patty, I'm sorry that you couldn't make your goal, but it wasn't because you didn't try, it was because of your health. I'm proud of you for finding a goal you could complete and doing it.

Hope you feel better, Honey.

Love,

Sylvia

Absolutely, Vickie. It's actually best to start w/ small goals so that we can actually accomplish the goal we choose. If you were training for, e.g., long distance running you wouldn't start out by running 20 miles; you'd start w/ a walk, then move on to a short run, and eventually work your way up to the long distance running.

Works kinda the same way w/ setting daily goals. If they're too difficult we don't accomplish them and then we feel like we've failed - which is the opposite of the reaction we're looking for.

Good luck.

Sylvia

Well I did make it to church, so I'm happy about that. Got to talk to pastor and some others there too which was nice. Didn't feel up to vacuuming though so I'll try tomorrow. Tomorrow though I also need to get out and get my allergy shots. So hopefully I'll get that done. This thread also gives us some accountability I think. Telling others what you plan to do makes you more likely to follow through with it. Thanks again for this thread.
