Hi everyone, I'm quite new to this site and have been using the agoraphobia group but thought I should join here too. I'm Caroline, 57 and English. I have had chronic depression for about 9 years, ever since my GP decided to take me off a 24 year addiction to prescription Diazepam (which I had been told by my previous GP, I could not live without). Two years of hell coming off diazepam, put me in a deep depression, so not only did I get put back on diazepam, I got anti depress's too!! You just have to love GP's don't you!!! My agoraphobia is also Chronic. Somehow I manage to live a reasonably 'contented' life although to many it seems like no life at all. I watercoulour paint (there is a 'u' in color in the UK) when I can be bothered. I also help on another site, with people with despairing and suicidal tendancies. This keeps me busy and makes my life feel a little more worth while. I also help people who have panic attacks. All this keeps me out of 'the black pit' of the worst of depression. I love to talk via the PC (anyone noticed? giggles) I would like to become a useful memeber of this group if you can all put up with this eccentric English woman. Peace. Caroline. |
