Morning Everyone...

I found out last night that I will have to put my 14 year old dog to sleep this weekend. I know it is the right thing to do since she is having a hard time getting around, it still doesnt make it any easier. We dont want her to suffer any longer. I am still grieving and it hasnt happened yet.

Take Care,
~Darla

Thanks Angelwings. I have some good pictures of her and I will remember the good times. I think I am just going to have a bit of me time on Saturday when we take her in.

I want to be with her. My mom has offered to do it alone but she is my dog as much as hers. I need that closure.

My heart is with you. We just put our 18 year old kitty to sleep this past Monday. She had suffered all that weekend and it was really hard to put her to sleep. But even harder to watch her suffer. We have a 16 year old and of course that kitty had been in her life, her whole entire life. So, she was crushed. And our other daughter who picked her out when the kitty was born, it crushed her as well.

I will be thinking of you. You are doing the right thing, it's just hard.

Try and take care.

Amy

Darla, I am so sorry for you. But, yes you are doing the right thing. I remember waking up when I was five and finding my dog dead. It was very sad. I'm so happy you have some pictures with her.

I am sorry. I am sure you are heartbroken. Your dog is so lucky to have a family that loves him so. Take care and know that many loving thoughts are with you.

Thank you both for your support and positive thoughts. This weekend will be rough but Krissy does not need to be suffering any more. I wish the Lord would take her beforehand but I think He is showing me a valuable life lesson.
Take Care,
~Darla
