I'm glad the heat wave is going. Lets just say that any extremes in the wheather can bring on a depressive mood for me. Too hot, too cold, too much rain or snow all depress me. Winter is the worst season for me. I hibernate like a bear, even my neighbors say they haven't seen me until Spring comes. Rachele

I have alsways loved Winter. I am 55 so that has been a long time.

Even as a small child something about winter drew me to it.

I bloom in the cold. My energy peaks, my moods are good. I dance in the snow.

I see such beauty in a winter scene.

Sometimes, my heart aches from how deeply it affects me.

The Summer, however, has always been my least fav season. I do not like the heat/humidity. I wilt as soon as temps rise above 60*. My energy is pure sluggishness.

My moods are not as nice as with the cold.

And I never care to go much of anywhere as I do in the Winter.

For me, there is a huge difference in the seasons.

I'm an Advocate

I like only the seasons that no longer exist: spring and fall. Any mild change in the weather can be agony for me. And this heat has me thinking about all the laughing over all the programs that help pay my electric bills. But my guess is they've all put in their share for awhile, and then I can't imagine anyone LIKING 3 digit temps. It does seem as if we've no spring or fall, or if we do, they last a few days only.

Sweet dreams to all you nuts who are here w/ this nut - who's off to bed.

When I woke up, can't remember when the house was at 85 indoors. I really feel we never got much relief from the heat wave. It was to be 81 yesterday , but went up too 93 degrees.

Well, gladly my son when he came home from work this am said why is it so hot in here? I said ,the suns too hot on the roof ...LOL...he went outside and fixed it ...the contact spring took off in the severe weather of 104 degrees last week..

I think the AC went into a depression along with me from the heat...LOL.

Our A/C never shuts off. OUCH! said the electric bill. Hoping to stay inside today. Don't want to leave the house today. Not up to it. You are so funny. You brought a smile this morning. I hope the a/c will be okay for you. There is suppose to be another heat wave. ISH!! Let's all move to Alaska. lol We can cause a population explosion instead of a heat explosion. lol

I agree with Sylvia that there seems to be only 2 seasons...Summer and Winter.

I miss the Fall weather very much. It is soooo beautiful. But, seems to grow shorter every year.

We did recieve some nice rain from our thunderstorms, without severe weather. And are expecting scattered storms the rest of the week.

Although, temps have lowered from 100's to 80's the humidity is making it brutal.

Maybe, soon we will have one of those spectacular days of just the perfect amount of heat, no humidity, bright blue skies, and a whisper of a gentle cooling breeze.

Hugs

I can remember summers like this since I was very young in the 60's..and I loved them as a child. Being able to run under the sprinkler was just so much fun.

We were never ones to be spoiled with AC back then. But kids now stay inside the AC and dont get to appreciate this is all very normal weather.

I think I would complain if we had cool summers like we have had many of them. We were lucky last year, it wasn't a hard winter, but I can also remember the Blizzard we had the year before.

So I wont complain to Mother nature , she just keeps history going with the weather.

I think I will enjoy our 93 degrees today and do something fun!!
