Depression Support Group

What do you do when everyone keeps telling you that you need professional help for your depression, and you know they are right but you can't get insurance at the moment? I'm well aware that I need help, but I don't know what to do really...I don't want to end up with crappy insurance, the last Psychiatrist I had was horrible and that's not just coming from me, all the Doctors at that office have a bad rep I just didn't find out until after the fact that they have a bad reputation there. I'm in a situation where I'm pretty much stuck and I know the only way I'm getting out is if I get help, but I don't know what to do.

Frustrating isn't it. Do you have a chuch that will help? Or is there a place nearby with a sliding fee?

Other than that, I don't know. Hopefully someone else on here will have some advice. I do know you arne't alone in that situation though.

In our area we have whats called North Shore Clinic...From what I understand they are in different states. If not, call your nearest hospital and let them know what happened at the other clinic you went to. They may be able to help you...tell them about your financial situation and no ins at this time.
